Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
Intro into new series - Law of the 1st
What is a law?
Law : a binding custom or practice of a community : a rule of conduct or action prescribed or formally recognized as binding or enforced by a controlling authority
Laws are important because whether you believe in them or not they exist and you can’t change them.
If you are a believer in Christ and He is your Lord and saviour then you MUST understand that His law is what stands and this is what should govern your life.
You need to understand how to live by what God says...
21 There are many plans in a man’s heart,Nevertheless the Lord’s counsel (Plan and Purpose—that will stand.
21 There are many plans in a man’s heart,
You must understand these 1st two principles...
Nevertheless the Lord’s counsel—that will stand.
1.What you sow, you will reap.
2.Many plans you may have but God’s plan and purpose prevails.
Laws
Sowing … seed
In nature in order for a harvest you must plant a seed into the ground… put something in....
That seed must die in order for the germinating process to begin…when this occurs the seed opens and new life burst from the seed husk to a living plant
This applies to us in two different ways… Jesus was the seed that was placed on earth to die for you and me so we could have eternal life.
Jesus death gave us life… Jesus was our seed… Jesus was God’s first fruit…
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Second, whatever we sow we must let it go and not hold on to it, we must let it die out to ourselves and totally give it to God.
Our lives...
For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.
25 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.
We must let go of our situations and circumstances and let it go and totally give it to God...
God can raise the dead, but remember God can’t redeem that which has NOT been given...
Turn to your neighbor and say “Let Go”
ONLY WHEN THE SEED IS SACRIFICED IS IT QUALIFIED TO BE MULTIPLIED
People want a harvest yet plant no seed
People wants miracles yet won’t let fear die
What are you sowing?
If you don’t like what your getting, check what your giving...
This series is important because you need to understand how God operates and how He has set up the law of the Kingdom.
You are in this world but not of it...
The reason for this series is to let God’s children know how to live according to His principles...
A pastor once told me this story which I think we all can relate to… this was a christian couple … faithful and doing everything they knew how to do to please God… yet they struggled financially...
This pastor didn’t know what to answer to them because he knew them well and knew they were living and doing everything right… so what do you do when your doing everything right and yet nothing works?
Is it God?
Is it you?
what is it?
Someone say … it’s the LAW
Whether you live right or not what will happen if you jump off a building?
Law of gravity...
This isn’t a series on giving… this isn’t a series on money....
This is a series about Lordship!

17 When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless.
2 And I will make My covenant between Me and you, and will multiply you exceedingly.” 3 Then Abram fell on his face, and God talked with him, saying: 4 “As for Me, behold, My covenant is with you, and you shall be a father of many nations.

17 Then Abraham fell on his face and laughed, and said in his heart, “Shall a child be born to a man who is one hundred years old?
And shall Sarah, who is ninety years old, bear a child?”

And shall Sarah, who is ninety years old, bear a child?”
19 Then God said: “No, Sarah your wife shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac; I will establish My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his descendants after him.
19 Then God said: “No, Sarah your wife shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac; I will establish My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his descendants after him.
Promise of a seed to Abraham sealed as a covenant to descendants after him which includes us.
21 And the Lord visited Sarah as He had said, and the Lord did for Sarah as He had spoken.
2 For Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him

God is faithful…
22 Now it came to pass after these things that God tested Abraham, and said to him, “Abraham!”
22 Now it came to pass after these things that God tested Abraham, and said to him, “Abraham!”
And he said, “Here I am.”
2 Then He said, “Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.”
Why would God do this?
Seems like God is a mean tester… test you in the hardest ways… unfair and cruel...
But what was Isaac from Abraham?
He was his seed… and a seed must what ?
Die in order to what? multiply...
When Abraham was willing to kill his own son… it was an indication that Abraham made God Lord over everything in his life and was willing to give God everything.
There was death… the ram but no need to be the son because he was willing to give it anyways....
Abraham was dead to his desires and his will and he was greatly multiplies… his generations are still living to this day...
Can’t reap what you don’t sow and you must allow God to have His plans and purpose....
