Tools Used to Build or Destroy!
One bright, beautiful Sunday morning, everyone in tiny Jonestown wakes up early and goes to go to church.
Before the services start, the townspeople sit in their pews and take about their lives and families.
Suddenly, at the altar, Satan appears!
Everyone starts screaming and running out of the church except one old man, who comely sits in the first pew oblivious to the fact that God’s ultimate enemy is present in the church.
This confuses Satan so, he asked the old man, “Do you know who I am?” To old man replied, “yep”.
Satan said, “Your not afraid of me?”
The old man replied, “nope” Satan said, “why not?”
The old man replied, “I’ve been married to your sister for 25 years!”
As funny as this joke is Satan is no laughing matter.
Satan is real and he is on the prowl.
This morning I’m going to be taking to you about “Spiritual Warfare.”
It’s real, it’s happening everyday.
Have you notice what’s going on in the United States today?
Our country that we love is tearing itself apart.
Little by little everyday.
Bible Prophecy is unfolding before our eye’s.
Satan, that old devil and his angels (demons) are working overtime, trying to get as many as they can to follow them and keep people from following God.
They know the end is coming and it’s near.
Matthew 24:
I’m not going to be taking about the end of time, the Rapture, or the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ today.
Because, if your save, if you have taken the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior.
You are already prepared for the Rapture.
You don’t have anything to worry about.
If you haven’t accepted the Lord Jesus Christ.
I say this to you.
You are living on borrowed time.
Today I’m trying to prepare you for Spiritual Warfare with the devil.
The Christian, and the Church are under attack every single day.
If you say your not, your just fulling yourself.
Pray
I. Tools used to Build.
Most of us have a toolbox.
Hammer
Screw drivers
Wrenches
Sockets
Saw
Verity of Screws
Tape Measure
ETC.
We use these tools to build or repair things.
People have been using tools for thousands of years.
Did you know Satan (that old devil has a toolbox!)
His toolbox is full of tools, and they are not used for building, but destruction.
Sun Tzu said, “You must know your enemies and yourself to be able to defeat your enemies.”
Makes since right.
You have to know who’s attacking you, before you fight.
Satan and his angels are our enemy.
Satan and his angels are evil.
Satan attempted to overthrow God.
Isaiah 14:12-
Isaiah
Noticed the 5 I Will’s of Satan.
Without a doubt Satan is our enemy.
Satan and his angels (demons) attempted a revolt in heaven and where cast out.
Now there out there trying to get as many people as they can to turn their backs on God and they uses many tools to achieve this.
III.
Tools Used to Destroy, Tool of the Devil.
Satan, or the Devil, has my tools
Rev. John Yates, wrote a short story about the devil and his tools.
“It was advertised that the devil was putting his tools up for sale.
On that date of the yard sale, the tools were laid out for public inspection.
They had high prices marked on them, and there were a lot of treacherous instruments.
among the devils many tools, were,
Hatred,
Envy,
Jealousy,
Deceit,
Pride,
Lying,
and many others.
Laid apart from the rest of the devil’s tools was a harmless looking tool, worn more than any of the others and the priced very high.
What’s the name of this tool asked a customer?
The devil replied, it is discouragement.
It is one of my most prized tools of all!
Looking at the price tag, the customer asked, but, why have you priced it so, high?
The devil turned toward the customer with a big grin on his face.
Yes, it’s priced high because discouragement is more useful to me than all the others.
I can pry open and get inside a person’s heart with that, when I cannot get near him with other tools.
It’s badly worn because I use it on almost everyone, since so few people know it belongs to me.”
One of the tools of the devil is he imitates God.
You ask ask, “How does he imitates God?”
He has a false trinity
He has his synagogues
He has his own doctrines
Revelation
He has his own mysteries
He has his own thrown
He has his own kingdom
He has his own worshipers
He has his own angels
He has his ministers
He has his miracles
He has sacrifies
He has fellowship
He has his armies
He perverts the Word of God
By taking it out of context
By causing it to be misinterpred
