Introduction
Today we are finishing up the book of Daniel. “In The World: Connecting without Compromising our Faith.” (Show series graphic on the screen)
We have watch Daniel and his friends live in a world run by unbelievers and not compromise themselves or their faith toward God. Through the book we have seen:
Kidnapping and exile (ch. 1)
Visions and Dreams of Christ as the stone cut without hands to destroy all other kingdoms (ch. 2)
Christ in the Fiery Furnace delivering his people (ch 4)
The Writing on the wall with swift destruction (ch. 5)
Scandal and entrapment as Daniel was faithful to pray to God. (ch. 6)
Christ shooting the mouths of the lions delivering Daniel. (ch. 6)
The everlasting dominion of Christ Kingdom. (ch. 7)
The time of the end (ch. 8)
The seventy weeks of Israel (ch. 9)
And now we come to the end of the book and the last vision of Daniel covering 10, 11, and 12.
Daniel is approached by Christ in a final vision. (ch. 10)
Daniel is given a detailed account of the time leading up to Christ first coming (ch. 11)
The prophecy of judgement is the last thing given to Daniel (ch. 12)
Daniel 12:1–2 ESV
1 “At that time shall arise Michael, the great prince who has charge of your people. And there shall be a time of trouble, such as never has been since there was a nation till that time. But at that time your people shall be delivered, everyone whose name shall be found written in the book. 2 And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
In today’s world judgement has become something that no one want to talk about. Judgement has been associated with hatred, and bigotry.
This has carried over into the way people think about God. If God is going to judge then he must be prejudice and hate people.
No one wants God’s judgement but everyone wants justice. Ex: Ferguson riots in 2014. The murder of a son or daughter for no reason.
No one wants God’s judgement but everyone wants peace and safety. Ex: Sexual predators list, Prisons, police and armies.
No one wants God’s judgement because people want the freedom to do as they please with no consequences. Can you imagine a society that functioned like that. They made some movies about that called “The Purge.”
So what do people have to do to get rid of God’s judgement? They must get rid of God!
They deny his existence.
It’s like we’re living in “Nacho Libre.”
Nacho: “Why have you not been baptized?
Steven: “I only believe in science.”
People reason him away with fake science.
Scientific Theory that forms a hypothesis without the ability to test and no resulting proof.
Fictional science that takes more faith than believing the obvious answer that all of this was made with intelligent design.
They make a plethora of god’s so they can devise their own god and system of belief.
They claim to be atheist. An atheist believes it is unknown and no one can know.
They dismiss the Bible as a book written by men for control of men.
With no absolute anything is possible.
As we have seen even through the book of Daniel the Bible is accurate down to the finest detail.
There is
Matthew 5:18 ESV
18 For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished.
So this morning I want to take you through 4 of the judgements we find in the scripture.
I think it will be easy to see that the judgements from God are exactly what we desire for our lives.
Let’s see if we can find “The Beauty of God’s Judgement.”

God’s judgement saves our souls through the sacrifice of Christ.

John 5:24 ESV
24 Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.
The first judgement we need to talk about is not one of the future but one of the past.

We were all worthy of the wrath of God because of your sin.

The wages of sin is death.
God was willing to provide a substitute for his wrath and took out His wrath on his son.
Galatians 3:13 ESV
13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree”—
1 Peter 2:24 ESV
24 He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.
Is

Christ has delivered us from wrath and offers his righteousness to anyone that will receive it.

John 5:24 ESV
Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.

God’s judgement separates the nations and brings peace to the world.

Everyone desires peace in the world.
The sinful arrogance and price of people keeps that from happening.
Israel has always been a major focus of world peace. The Middle East is and has been in a major uproar over one little peace of ground called the Gaza strip. All because of Israel.

Christ’s return will usher in the peace of the world, but in only comes through the judgement of the nations.

Matthew 25:31–32 ESV
31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.
The sheep on his right are those that helped Israel during the tribulation.
Matthew 25:34 ESV
34 Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
These are the nations that did not side with the Antichrist and helped Israel escape the wrath of the Great Dragon
Matthew 25:40 ESV
And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’
The goats on the left are those nations that sided with the Antichrist and attempted to destroy Israel.
Matthew 25:41 ESV
41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.
Matt 25:
These nations will have taken the mark of the Beast and believed the lie that the Antichrist was God giving him honor and worship.
Matthew 25:45–46 ESV
45 Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.’ 46 And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
Matt 25:

God’s judgement purges the world of of Satan and his oppressors.

There are two major forces in the world that drive the sin of the world.
Satan: “The prince and power of the air the spirt that now works in the children of disobedience.”
The wickedness of people who are the children of disobedience.

The influence of Satan is removed at the coming of Christ as he binds him and cast him into the pit for 1000 years.

Revelation 20:1–3 ESV
1 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding in his hand the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain. 2 And he seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years, 3 and threw him into the pit, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he might not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were ended. After that he must be released for a little while.
Rev 20:

The false trinity is cast into the lake of Fire for ever and ever.

Revelation 20:9–10 ESV
9 And they marched up over the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city, but fire came down from heaven and consumed them, 10 and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
Revelation 20:7–10 ESV
7 And when the thousand years are ended, Satan will be released from his prison 8 and will come out to deceive the nations that are at the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle; their number is like the sand of the sea.
The deceiver is gone.
The oppressor of God’s people is gone.
The accuser of the brethren is gone.
the lier with all is lies are gone.
The spirit of disobedience is gone.
The beast and the false prophet are gone.
There is only one judgement left and its the one we don’t like to talk about.
We are forever grateful for God’s judgement of sin on Jesus.
We are excited about peace finally coming to the world.
We are sick and tired of the work of Satan and can’t wait until he’s gone.
But what about all those that oppose God through wickedness. Not because of Satan but their own nature of rebellion.
The world will never be righteous until the sinner is removed.
God has made every way of escape for people to choose.
He has even substituted their wrath with the wrath of His only Son Jesus.
But yet still they reject him, deny him, defy him.

God’s judgement solidifies his righteousness through the punishment of the wicked.

Revelation 20:11–12 ESV
11 Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. From his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them. 12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done.

Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. The “Dead” must stand judgement for their sin because they rejected the salvation through Jesus God’s Son.

God has been taking record. The proof has been stacking up.
There is another book, the book of life. This book has all the names of those that have received death of Christ for their sins.
Revelation 20:14 ESV
14 Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire.

Someone has to pay for your sin. You will either receive the payment of Jesus or you will pay for eternity.

Are you going to rejoice with me about the past Judgement on Jesus that has set us free from sin and death.
Or are you waiting on the final judgement to answer on your own.
