Scripture Reading                     Isaiah 40:28-31

Israel complains that God has abandoned them, but it isn’t true. Isaiah tells them to look at creation and see God’s presence. God created everything and still rules over all people and earthly authorities.

Scripture Text                           Mark 1:29-39

One day Jesus heals Peter’s mother-in-law, along with other sick persons. The next morning, while Jesus is praying alone, the disciples search him out to report that everyone is looking for him. Jesus then decides to leave for other villages where he can pursue his mission of preaching.
