What is our primary mission?

The bible clearly indicates that our primary mission as followers of Christ is to love God and bring Him honor and glory.
Deuteronomy 6:4 NIV
Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.
Mark 12:
Mark 12:29–31 NIV
“The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”
1 Cor
1 Corinthians 10:31 NIV
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
Isaiah 43:7 NIV
everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made.”
Isaia 43:
Romans 11:36 NIV
For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.
Revelation 4:11 NIV
“You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.”
Is what we are doing bringing glory to God?

How is God glorified in our lives?

John 17:4 NLT
I brought glory to you here on earth by completing the work you gave me to do.
2 Corinthians 9:13 NIV
Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, others will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else.
2 cor
Matthew 5:16 NIV
In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
John 15:8 NIV
This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.
1 Peter 2:12 NIV
Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us.
Romans 15:5–7 NIV
May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.
1 Peter 4:11 NIV
If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.

What happens when we lose clarity about the mission?

Ultimately, deep change, where at the personal or the organizational level, is a spiritual process. Loss of alignment occers wen forwhenever reason, we begin to pursue the wrong end.
As time passes something inside us starts to wither.
We lose our vitatily and begin to work from sheer discipline.
Our energy is not naturally replinshed and we experienced no joy in what we do
We are experiencing slow death
“One of Mankinds greatest problems is not the perfection of means but a confusion of ends” Albert Einstein
Mission = Outcome
Mission always takes you to outcome

Being Missional starts with Christ!

John 14:6 NIV
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Acts 4:12 NIV
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”

He then brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.” Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all the others in his house.
Being missional is NOT a missions program or missions giving
