Sermon Tone Analysis

As we begin to look at this evening, I want you to keep in mind that this is what we as children of God are spared from.

We do not have to experience this great and terrible day of God’s wrath because Jesus Christ has already absorbed all of His Fathers wrath on our behalf on the cross of Calvary.

But here in we will begin to witness the terrors which awai those who have never trusted in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior but instead have rejected Him time and time again.

Now if you will remember we saw the sealing of the 144,00 Jews and the rapture of the church at the end of chapter 7.

Where the saints came out of the great tribulation and now stand before the presence of God because they had washed their robes white in the blood of the Lamb.

The Bible tells us at the end of chapter

Revelation 7:

God has rescued His prized possession HIs church out of the great tribulation and now as He readies Himself to pour out judgment on an unbelieving world the great men, the rulers and all men and women who have rejected Him are hiding and crying out for the hills to fall upon them to hide them from the wrath of the One who sits upon the throne.

Now we begin to see God pouring out His wrath and it is a scary sight.

Revelation 8:

But notice once the trumpets begin to be blown the first thing God tells us is that fire is raining down and that all the green grass is burned up and 1/3 of the trees are burned up.

Let’s jump back to but first I am going to read to you from .

Matthew 24:29

Revelation 6

Now right there we see the same event we see the sun and moon being darkened and the stars falling, now heres the thing search the book of Revelation all you want.

This is the only time in Revelation that this event is recorded when Jesus said in , , and that the sun and moon would be darkened this is the only place your going to find it.

Now if we take the obvious interpretation of the book of Revelation which I will prove to you is Biblical, if we take the account from chapter 8 which says the trumpets come after the seals you know what that means?

That means that if the sun and moon are darkened at the 6th seal and that the sun and moon being darkened comes after the 6th seal, that means anything after the 6th seal is NOT the tribulation.

Anything after the 6th seal must not be the tribulation because when the sun and moon are darkened at the 6th seal thats already after the tribulation is already over.

That means that the trumpet judgments are Not part of the tribulation.

That destroys both the pretrib rapture position and it destroys the other faulty view of some people who believe that Christians will be here during the trumpet judgments of God.

So we see here very clearly that the rapture takes place right after the tribulation:

Obviously the rapture.

But heres what I want you to understand no matter how smart the people are and they are much smarter than I, who say there is a pretrib rapture, the position they hold is that there is a rapture at the beginning of the tribulation, and then theres another rapture at the end of all those who were “left behind” during the great tribulation.

Well when we look at the Bible there is absolutely nothing to back that position up, there is nowhere in the Bible you find two raptures, there is only one gathering together of the elect Christs church and it comes right here.

Revelation 7:1-

God says dont hurt the Earth until we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.

Then the 144,00 are sealed.

So the purpose of that seal in their foreheads was to make them immune to the judgement being poured out on the rest of mankind, because the 144,000 are going to be on this Earth while God is here on this Earth, this seal of God will allow them to be protected and immune from it and specifically this trumpet is the 5th trumpet judgement.

Now there are those who say these locusts are happening during the great tribulation and I am blown away because that simply is not Biblical, yes the 144,000 Israelites are here, but the church of the living God is not.

You cannot say that this has to be during the tribulation because Jesus Himself said that the sun and moon would be darkened AFTER the tribulation of those days and the sun and moon are darkened in Revelation at the 6th seal.

We also once again see the rapture from Heavens perspective from John.

Revelation 7:9-

So this is a powerful scene here we have a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations tribes and toungues standing before the throne clothed in white waving palm branches crying out in a loud voice:

SALVATION BELONGS TO OUR GOD WHO SITS ON THE THRONE AND TO THE LAMB!!!

Now if you have ever been to a football game and heard the sounds of 80,000 people screaming so loud it rattles your chest can you imagine a great see of people just appearing in Heaven and crying out in a loud voice praises to out Lord?

BEHOLD- Suddenly, all of a sudden

Revelation 7:13-

Now we have the servants of Israel sealed and protected and the church raptured do you see it?

Now its time for judgment to begin because God is not going to put His children through what Jesus already went through for them.

Now some people will say well we didn’t see any trumpet before this multitude showed up in Heaven, well no you wouldn’t because John was called up into the throne room and from Heavens perspective the trumpet is irrelevant, the church appeared but notice the first trumpet comes right here in chapter 8.

Which is why I believe that this first trumpet is a sign of doom to those left on Earth for the wrath of God but that same trumpet was the sign of redemption to those who got called up to meet Christ in the air.

There are 4 trumpets that are going to sound in chapter 8, chapter 9 covers the next trumpets and the last trumpet is covered in chapter 11.

Luke 17:

So the Bible is clear that the same day it began to rain was the same day Noah got on the ark.

Luke 17:28-

So there’s a comparison made of the return of Christ and Noah and Lot, and that comparison is the same day Noah got on the ark it rained, and the same day Lot left Sodom it rained fire and brimstone.

No we know that God will never again destroy the Earth by flod again thats what He promised but He will destroy the Earth by fire and brimstone.

SAME DAY NOAH GOT ON THE ARK IT RAINED

SAME DAY LOT LEFT SODOM IT RAINED FIRE AND BRIMSTONE

Now remember Lot didnt leave Sodom fast enough remember th story the angels literally had to drag him out of the city.

That is a picture of where God send His angels gather up the saved.

Revelation 8:1

Were still on the same day that the rapture took place, the same day the sun and moon were darkened and Jesus came in the clouds.

Were still on that same day.

Revelation 8:2-

So right here a half hour later we have an angel taking a censer filled with fire and casting it to the Earth.

So you can see how the same day of the rapture fire will rain from heaven.

Now picture this you are an unsaved person:

YOU SEE.....

Not only that but now the trumpet judgements begin

Revelation 8:7

So we see here that the first judgement seen here is part of the Earth being burnt up.

Now the Bible is really being clear here that with this first trumpet 1/3 of the trees are burnt up, but that is contrasted with the fact that ALL the green grass is burnt up.

now that is alot of fire.

Wouldn’t you say that fire is raining on the entire Earth?

There is no place that is going to be spared from this, notice what the Bible says

HAIL AND FIRE MINGLED WITH BLOOD

these hailstones are igniting everything they come into contact with, bursting into flames.

So imagine, houses are gonna be burned up, buildings exploding into flame, forests are gonna be burned down.

Green grass being burned up, this is extreme wrath.

I want the Bible to explain to you the purpose of the trumpet judgments:

Acts 3:20

So when Jesus Christ returns it will be a time of restoration, but restoration of what?

Of the Divine order, the world system is broken and men like to pretend to be their own God and they refuse to acknowledge god so when Jesus returns he is bringing to pass the restored order which should have always been.

THIS IS PAYBACK TIME this is god showing in a very real way that He will pay back, sin.

People are not going to get off scott free.

He will payback mankind for all the wickedness they have committed.

Remember Jesus said the days of Christ return would be like in the days of Noah and if you remember what the world was like the days of Noah.

In the days of Lot

These are men with men, women with women, this is why God judged them so harshly.

Let’s take a long hard look at our world, do we fit this description?

I’ll let you decide.

It wasn’t this way 10 years ago 20 years ago you would have never heard of some of the things that are going on today.

This world we live in is getting more and more perverted.

He is going to rain fire and brimstone again

God is going to punish those who refuse to repent and turn to Him during the time of His grace, the trumpet is a declaration of war.

THE SECOND TRUMPET

Revelation 8:8

Now notice it doesnt say a burning mountain was cast into the sea it was something like a burning mountain.

So what was that?

Probably some type of a crashing meteor, a huge meteor.

When that happens 1/3 part of the sea was turned to blood, probably from the massive amount of animal life that is slaughtered under the sea which was struck.

Its really interesting when you compare the plagues that God brought upon the Earth in the OT how similar they are to these final plagues in the book of Revelation.
