LIVING FAITH IS:
NOT JUST TALK
NOT JUST FEELINGS
NOT JUST THOUGHTS
NOT JUST BELIEF
Living Faith is something you do! (James gives us two examples of active living faith: Abraham and Rahab.)
And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God.
You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only.
Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way?
For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
This passage tells me it’s not just about getting everything right or having perfect timing.
By having a faith that is living and active, doing things right and perfect timing are a product of it.
For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
Just as the body is dead without breath, so also faith is dead without good works.
Share testimony of guest speaker at T.C.
His testimony inspired and transformed, for me, what it means to have a living Faith.
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
LIVING FAITH IS:
NOT JUST TALK
NOT JUST FEELINGS
NOT JUST THOUGHTS
NOT JUST BELIEF
AND NOT JUST SOMETHING YOU DO
IT IS ALL OF THESE
IT IS WHO YOU ARE!
For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.
The Jesus in me is who I am! Let Him be who you are! And enjoy a life of living faith that brings Him joy and truly blesses those around you.
