The Final Result
The Final Result
what is the final result of putting saving faith in Jesus Christ?
There are so many. More than I could preach one in 10 years of Sundays.
But central to this series, the plan of salvation is the wonderful result of Justification.
When you Put saving Faith in Jesus, God justifies you and you become justified, that means: Its just id id never sinned.
This is a legal stance that by the work of Jesus you have with God.
Its the Fifth Step and its based on Romans 5:1.
Step 5: Justification by Faith
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
Justification is When God declares us Righteous in Jesus Christ, and its a declaration that Changes Everything - and imminently result in 7 blessings.
In listing these Blessings Paul accomplished something wonderful: He showed just how wonderful in was to be a christian! Our justification does not just means that we go to heaven when we die (which is amazing in itself) but also that it is a source of tremendous joy and and blessing here and now!
Peace with God.
Peace with God.
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
An unsaved person is at enmity (hostility) with God because they cannot obey God Law (Step1).
There is no peace, saith the Lord, unto the wicked.
The Result of their Law breaking they are under condemnation. Condemnation means that God declares us sinners, it is a declaration of war.
Justification means that God declares us righteous, it is a declaration of peace.
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Access To God
Access To God
By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
This is incredible!
The Jew was kept from God’s presence by the vail and the Gentile was Kept out by the Wall with a warning on it that anyone who went beyond would be killed.
But when Jesus Christ Died, everything changed.
The viel was torn in two
And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst.
and the wall was broken down.
For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
As a result, we can go into God’s presence and draw from His inexhaustible riches and graces anytime and as many times as we wish.
Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;
Anytime we pray, remain still, worship, praise, read, study, meditate -we go into His presence.
Thou wilt shew me the path of life: In thy presence is fulness of joy; At thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
A Glorious Hope.
A Glorious Hope.
By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
Peace with God takes care of our past.
Accsess to God takes care of our Present.
Hope of the glory of God takes care of our future.
Another phrase the bible used to describe this is the Blessed Hope.
Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
The hope that is used here is different from our use of the word hope. It does dot suggest uncertainty of the event, but rather uncertainty of the date.
I know Jesus is returning, but I dont know when - however i “hope” its today!
This glorious Hope is the source for great rejoicing!
For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
Christian Character
Christian Character
And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
Justification is not an escape from tribulation.
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
But it does means Tribulation works for the christian rather than against Him.
For the unsaved there is no actual tribulation, there is just pain and suffering, which accomplish nothing but pain and sorrow. But for the Christian there is no pain and suffering, there is Tribulation - in its biblical sense.
The word Tribulation comes from the Latin word Trib-ulum. A trib-ulum is not a word its a thing. Its a heavy peace of timber with spikes set in it. This was rolled over grain and crushed and ripped into it, separating the good grain from the useless chaff.
In the sam e way: Tribulation hurts and it painful, but in the end it purifies us and works in our favor, perfecting us by God’s Grace.
As a result of our Justification the christian never ever suffers needlessly ever again.
God’s Love Within.
God’s Love Within.
And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
I have mention this before in the series, Step 3. But i will refresh - Our Justification equips with with the unwavering assurance of God’s great love for us. He loves us while we were sinners and He surly loves us now that we’re His children!
Salvation from Future Wrath
Salvation from Future Wrath
Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
The argument is simple: If Good saved us while we were His enemies, He will keep on saving us now that we are His Children.
What does it mean “Saved by his life”? Death yes, but life?
A will is of no effect until the death of the one who wrote it.
Then an executor takes over and sees to it that the will is obeyed and the inheritance distributed. But suppose the executor is unscrupulous and wants to get the inheritance for himself? He may figure out many devious ways to circumvent the law and steal the inheritance.
Jesus Christ wrote us into His will, and He wrote the will with His blood. “This cup is the new testament in My blood, which is shed for you” (Luke 22:20).
He died so that the will would be in force; but then He arose from the dead and returned to heaven that He might enforce the will Himself and distribute the inheritance.
Thus, we are “saved by His life.”
If that sound a bit to complicated: Ill simplify it: Because he lives I can face tomorrow...
Reconciliation with God
Reconciliation with God
And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.
The word atonement means reconciliation: Brought back into a right relationship.
Man and God in fellowship together: This was God plan, was for you and Him to be in constant, wonderful, peaceful communion with each other.
Like Adam and Eve walked with God in cool of the garden, that fellowship was ruined though Sin and they hid from God.
And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden.
Now, Through Jesus Christ, you and God have been reconciled, you and God can walk together once again in peace.
