Were You There?
Were You There?
Lesson 1
His Death Becomes Our Death:
His Burial Becomes Our Burial:
Summary
In this time and age we as find ourselves standing up for this cause, and that cause. See (List of Movements) … ...
Why do we participate in so many of these.?
Because We Care and Because it is happening in our (face) present day.
Often times we talk about Christ’s death on the Cross. His Burial in a borrowed tomb and how he was treated in the most horrible way from a perspective of a distance past. We can easily say to ourselves ‘If I was there I would not have done what they did to Jesus. I would have stood up for Jesus’.

In and our study today carries the question from a old spiritual song asking “Were you there when they crucified my lord?’
As background in we see Paul talking to the Church at Rome but about Jews and Gentiles, Circumcision and uncircumcision, the judge and the condemn, the unrighteousness of man and the righteousness of God, the faithfulness of God and unfaithfulness of man, life and death, slave and free the saint and the sinner. Because we all have sinned, we all fall in these categories, means we all were there.
Starts out with Therefore (what is therefore there for) it let us know it is a continuation of a thought. We have
been Justified; Peace with God; access by Faith into this grace; we stand ; rejoice in hope of the glory of God. We glory in tribulation.
