Self-centered faith
I can’t rest… because everything rests on me.
I can’t rest… because I am made to work.
I can’t have faith in God… because it’s really on me to get all this done.
I can’t take risks… because I can’t control the outcomes.
So my actions communicate that: (1) God either isn’t going to show up, or (2) He isn’t any good.
Either way, it’s on me.
God-centered Faith
I can rest… because I know that God holds everything.
I can rest… because I am made to steward.
I can have faith in God.... because he is over and above all things!
I can take risks… because I know God controls the outcomes… and God is good!
