So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart. Have nothing to do with foolish, ignorant controversies; you know that they breed quarrels.

‘flee’ - fugitive from the law - someone who is being hunted. As though their entire life depends on it. Like a life & death struggle. like Jospeh running away from the seductions of potiphar’s wife.
youthful lusts - immorality happening int he church - worship to goddess Diana and Artemis in the city. Easy to get caught up in this.
