Who were the Judges?

Moses died and left Joshua in charge. Joshua led the people into the promise land, but Isreal failed to fully take possession of the land.

It came about when Israel became strong, that they put the Canaanites to forced labor, but they did not drive them out completely.

Samson sees a daughter of the Philistines and she looked good to him. Told his parents, she looks good to me, get her.

Samson has a wedding feast and he makes a bet with the Philistines. solve the riddle within 7 days: 30 linen wraps and 30 changes of clothes.

Samson goes to visit his wife and brings a young goat. (like a bouquet of flowers)

Her father said, “I really thought that you hated her intensely; so I gave her to your companion. Is not her younger sister more beautiful than she? Please let her be yours instead.”
Because the Philistines has used his wife, and solved the riddle, and how his wife had been taken from him, Samson took 300 foxes and tied a torch between the tails of two foxes and release them. Burned down their fields.
The the Philistines came up and burned her and her father with fire.

Samson said to them, “Since you act like this, I will surely take revenge on you, but after that I will quit.” He struck them ruthlessly with a great slaughter; and he went down and lived in the cleft of the rock of Etam.
The Philistines ruled over Judah (Northern tribe of Isreal) and they went to them and leaned on them.
3000 me of Judah went to get Samson.
He made them promise they wouldn’t kill him, he let them tie him up and deliver him to the Philistines.

And the Spirit of the Lord came upon him mightily so that the ropes that were on his arms were as flax that is burned with fire, and his bonds dropped from his hands. She cuts his hair while he’s sleeping
The Philistines seize him and gouge out his eyes.
