The turnaround in Joseph's circumstances is years in the making. So far it has been one step forward (respect and responsibility under his masters) and two steps back (unfair enslavement and imprisonment). And time keeps marching on. But through trials, tribulations, temptations and time, God is working to grow his servant and to fulfill his plans. These plans were glimpsed in Joseph's teenage dreams and now dreams come into the story again, used by God to bring about fulfillment and further the view of the future. And again, we're reminded that there is a clear vision of God's providence and future, even in the darkest dungeon, the deepest valley, or the direst circumstances.
