THE NAME ABOVE ALL NAMES. (Excerpts of the message by Pastor E.A.Adeboye at the 4th day of the Convention-deliverance night on 9th August 2018). “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians‬ 2:5-11‬ KJV‬‬. Dearly beloved and friends: Everything that is not of God in your life will bow to the name of Jesus, the name above every name. Here are some truths we need to remind ourselves. 1. There are only two types of people- the Dominant and the Dominated. 2.Words/Verbs are in two major categories as well; Active and Passive. The word Dominion is the noun of the word Dominate, which is a very Active Word = Forced down and keep down by Force. In Judges 6: 1-5, Midianites had dominion over the children of Israel at a time, they allowed them to harvest and then came to eat up everything. Typical of some happenings in some areas of the world today. The Convention with the theme “Dominion” is not a passive one but of Action. In the name above every other name, everything that has been bugging you down will be destroyed tonight. There is power in names; Names are significant, and where you are from is equally essential. Where is your address? Example : 1. Moses - meaning, pulled out of the water. Water played a significant role in his life. Changed water to blood, opened the Red Sea, got water from the rock and missed it because of water. 2. Elijah: a lot in his life had to do with fire and force, he called fire from heaven to deal seriously with his enemies; He was taken up in a chariot of fire. 3. Abraham -His new name operated in his life; he became Father of many nations. In reality, also the wife’s name changed for better and brought her laughter. If your name is standing against you in destiny, there will be a change of name tonight. Jesus, the name above other names. In heaven, on earth and under the earth, His name is a name of Domination. Many names of Jesus have to do with military and warfare. 1. John 14:6-He is the WAY: Each time you make a road, much force is applied to clear the way. (1 Corinthians 10:13)-God promised a way of escape. God will create an escape route for you today. 2. John 18:5-The Light of the World (John 1:1-5). The Light shined, and darkness can not overcome it. Light subdues or dominates darkness. There shall be light in your life today 3. John 11:25-26- He is the Resurrection and the Life; He dominated death, which is the last enemy. Every part of your body called “dead” will receive life today. 4. He is LORD, Psalm 24:7-10; He is the LORD of Hosts: in Heaven, on Earth and underneath the Earth. He controls them all. Every host that God has to deal with to give you dominion He will do so tonight (Exodus 15:3)- He is the Man of War. The problem with us Christians is, we don’t use what we have. We have dominion by association, Jesus is our Elder brother, we belong to His family, we are children of the same Father. Anything Jesus Christ does and because you belong to Him you can do also. David used the name of the LORD to defeat Goliath (1 Samuel 17:5), I come to you in the name of the LORD. Mark 16:17-18, these signs shall follow them that believe. In my name, they shall cast out demons=grab them by force and throw them out. [e.g. Bouncer] Tonight everything in your life you don’t want, you cast it out. Matthew 18:18-20... whatever you bind on earth... Whatever you allow on earth will be permitted in heaven same as the opposite. God forbid If you allow sickness, it will be allowed. Every mountain in your life will move tonight in the name of Jesus. Every drum of shame beaten against you must break tonight. There are three areas of warfare for yourself : 1. Goliath: This stands for somebody who says you will never have dominion. Some forces will not want you to have a rule. 2. 2 Kings 2:22-24 Elisha did somethings in authority because he walked with Elijah. The SPIRIT of GOD will come upon you today. 3. Acts 13:6-12 Paul was preaching to a governor, and someone evil interrupted. Paul said because you have turned yourself into a mountain, you will be blind for a season. From now on everyone that wants to stand in Your way must be destroyed. Prayers of Warfare: 1. Father, every Goliath in my way and life let them die tonight. 2. Father, everything in my life that is still saying where is my God and mocking me, and my God must disappear and vanish tonight. 3. Father, every force that will hinder my progress let them be destroyed tonight. 4. Father, no more cancer in the body of Christ in the name of Jesus. 5. Personal prayers...
