Introduction:
It is tough to keep going when the going gets tough. We need to remember that for the apostle Paul, the going had been rough for quite some time. He had faced repeated attempts on his life and the mockery of trials without justice. Paul was innocent of any wrongdoing. He had broken no Jewish laws nor Roman laws, and yet was still imprisoned.
How do you and I keep going when the going gets tough? As we take a look at Paul’s experience here in chapter 25, we find some gentle reminders that will help us in our struggle.

1. The appearance of delay in deliverance does not mean that we are forsaken ().

2. The adversaries of the gospel do not give up easily ().

3. When worldly leaders abdicate what is true and right, I must stay the course that God has given ().

4. The lost world is clueless about the significance of the gospel message, but we must do our best to help them understand it and respond ().
