Rialto Park - Games with cheap prizes, Haunted House ride, tilt a whirl, bumper cars.
House of Mirror’s - Everything distorted, floors, walls, images - Fat, skinny, tall, short, wavy.
It was fun and seemingly insignificant, but I remember it.
I didn’t stand for long in front of a mirror image I hated.
Tall or thin I would not mind looking at.
I was in the process of shaping how I saw myself in real life
Mom or dad would watch and smile, but they had a different perspective of who I was.
They knew me as their son.
Strong and weak points, mistakes and successes, I was their son, and the images didn’t change how they saw me or their love for me.
Many of us laughed, but down inside, I wasn’t happy with who I saw myself as and wanted to be a different version of myself.
I believed the distorted images and saw myself as twisted.
Many people have distorted images of how they see themselves
