Pastoral Prayer from

2 Corinthians 10:1–5 HCSB
Now I, Paul, make a personal appeal to you by the gentleness and graciousness of Christ—I who am humble among you in person but bold toward you when absent. I beg you that when I am present I will not need to be bold with the confidence by which I plan to challenge certain people who think we are behaving in an unspiritual way. For though we live in the body, we do not wage war in an unspiritual way, since the weapons of our warfare are not worldly, but are powerful through God for the demolition of strongholds. We demolish arguments and every high-minded thing that is raised up against the knowledge of God, taking every thought captive to obey Christ.
2 Corinthians 10:1-
Father,
There is none like You. There is none that is Your equal. There is none to compare, none alike.
You are God. You are the great I Am. You are the fountain of all good. Destroy in me every lofty thought, break my pride in pieces and scatter it to the winds. Annihilate every clinging shred of self-righteousness and implant in me true lowliness of spirit. Break me and then bind me up. Prepare my heart to be the proper dwelling for my God.
Where You are present evil cannot abide. In Your fellowship is fullness of joy, beneath Your smile is peace for my conscience, and by Your side there is no fear to disturb. Nothing exceeds Your power, nothing to great for You, nothing to good for You to give. Your might is infinite, Your love boundless, limitless is Your grace, glorious is Your saving name.
Open in me a fountain of praise to You. I worship You this morning. I give You glory.
And I ask these great things of a great God. In the precious name of Jesus Christ my Lord.
Amen
