The devil was trying to disprove who Jesus was and is! Twice Satan said, "IF YOU ARE..."
Just like Jesus, we are often tempted soon after a spiritual high. The devil tries to attack who we are in Christ. The same thing happens when churches start doing great things in the community; the enemy attacks and attempts to tear them apart. Are we disciplined enough, like Jesus, to use the Sword of the Spirit to combat what the enemy throws our direction?
