It's a focus shift, it's not what WE can do it's what the SPIRIT does in &through us. We need to crucify the self & flesh & live by the Spirit. Not doing what we want, but rather what the Spirit wants. In order to understand the gifts of the Spirit we need to understand what it means to live by the Spirit. If we are able to humble ourselves to be lead by Christ, not following our own desires, but rather allowing His love and His Power and His boldness to work through us, anything is possible.
