There are many promises in the bible... Which ones come to mind first? Perhaps that God promises to never leave us nor forsake us? Peter reminds us that we have escaped the corruption of the word by His Divine powers. Can people see that there is something genuinely different about us? Hypocrites claim to be something (pretend to be something) that they are not. They are actors. We shouldn't need a uniform or special shirt to identify us if we are truly living and loving for Christ...
