Signs of His Coming
“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.
But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark,
and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left.
Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left.
Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.
But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into.
Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.
We have been unpacking Matt 24 for the past few weeks and I want to wrap it up here for now but first a report on Enviropig
Enviropig is genetically engineered pig that was developed by combining Pig & mice dna and Ecolli bacteria. The goal was to produce a low gaseous methane pig with better digestion. An uproar in Canada brought the project to a halt in 2010 but the Chinese in July of 2018 have begun experimenting again with this animal.
Now where do pigs generally end up? On your breakfast plate! Why is this of any concern to the church?
For behold, the Lord will come with fire And with His chariots, like a whirlwind, To render His anger with fury, And His rebuke with flames of fire.
For by fire and by His sword The Lord will judge all flesh; And the slain of the Lord shall be many.
“Those who sanctify themselves and purify themselves, To go to the gardens After an idol in the midst, Eating swine’s flesh and the abomination and the mouse, Shall be consumed together,” says the Lord.
It is during the time of God’s judgement that man would consume swine, the abomination - filth faeces & the mouse!
Who could of imagined of such a thing could even be possible yet now it starting agin in preperation of the days to come!
It is clear that we have seen in this generation an advancement of knowledge & evil the likes of which the world has ever seen
“But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”
Last week we talked about the attack on the natural sexual function of “man” and the pressure the world is putting upon us to accept this new religion of sexuality
Remember that lawlessness is at the basis of this new religion
Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves,
who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

Shocking Stats on STDs in America. Today 25 percent of Americans have an incurable sexually transmitted disease. That's just the beginning. Among the most alarmng stats: Eighty-five percent of Americans with herpes (42 million people) don't know it.
In the US we saw this week the first transgender man become a Gubernatorial candidate for the state of Connecticut
The largest earthquake in the history of Alaska
the release of a report in Pennsylvania that more than 300 priests sexually abused more than 1000 reported cases or prepubescent children
And since I started this message more than 200 babies worldwide have suffered abortion. 5790,000 in the US this year and 27,000 > 16 weeks
And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.
This deception of freedom is killing our world!
Paul wrote to those very same people about the delivering power of Christ:
But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered.
And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.
I speak in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you presented your members as slaves of uncleanness, and of lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves of righteousness for holiness.
The call to the Church is to be ready at any moment for the return of Christ keeping that in view at all times
It should be our motivation, hope and expectation, but remember that the key to this is “be ready”
We see that the days of Noah are upon us - there were years of warning the people but they chose to ignore the waring signs until judgement was upon them!
Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.
But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into.
Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.
Many scholars link this to the words of encouragement tht Paul gave to the Thessalonians
For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.
Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.
Therefore comfort one another with these words.
Here we find reference to the word Rapture - the sudden removal of the restratining force of the Church so that lawlessness can truly explode!
So we have Noah delivered by being taken out of the judgement so the church shall be delivered by being removed from the judgement.
But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you.
For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night.
For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.
But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.
You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness.
Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.
For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night.
But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation.
For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,
who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him.
Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.
My friends today we are faced with the reality that the prophetic clock of God’s plan is coming closer to midmight
If these things be true, then what sort of people ought we to be?
Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown.
What crown - the crown of Righteousness
Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.
