That their hearts would be ready to receive what you have to say through their instructors. And we just thank you Father for their instructors and we give you all praise and glory in Jesus precious name that every once a man a man a man. Alright, the kids are dismissed the kids world. I am from Texas and that being said a group of church Kawana Springs Baptist Church where I first learned of Jesus Christ as a young man. So even though I have went astray, I have been a part of the body of Christ for quite some time. Even before I knew what the body of Christ was. So there is a reference to that and you know, I just want to give you a general understanding of where I come from to be in front of you here today, and I'm going to finish introduction and then say a few things and then I'll pray and go into the message they man Okay, so what do I do here UCF? All right. So for me, I'm addicted in training. I'm going to lose your brother Deacon fast.
and Pastor Ken Williams along with my fill of deacons in training Mike Shepherd Mr. Mark, I don't know where you are over here at the tag team table. And this is actually a Long training. They want to make sure you know, what's going on between 19. All right, and also participate in something here in the church. That is absolutely phenomenal. Absolutely. It's called food Ministry. Okay, this particular food Ministry does not reflect the size of our church. You get what I'm saying? It does not reflect the size about church. If you never seen it ever been a part of it. Most people have never seen it from start to finish. Okay, I'll get into it a little bit part of the coordination and distribution of the food there is a lot involved in it. And you know, it's something that's a whole nother ass that about facet of our church and another way to reach out to the community become friends with other churches and make sure Christian to go ahead and buy the epidemic of hungry. Okay, I'm going to speak to you today about something called teamwork a man. I've been apart of a lot of great teams. Okay, a lot of great teams. I've been fortunate enough to be a part of this team and unfortunately has been christian-based one of them the Marine Corps. I wasn't part of that team. I was lucky enough important enough to get a Navy Achievement medal because I was a part of a group a man. Thank you. All the part of a group called the mortar team and we do I'll briefly tell you. So so this particular team you have to go to training to be able to go overseas and perform this and this whole training Evolution requires that a team goes 25 miles walking which we ran. And once you get there, you take your gear off you take a tip. Once you take that test you get your equipment up and you do your training for to know if we were the best on the west coast when I did that now that was a great team as I reflect back on that team, but I realize is that what teams won Gold?
Not a second email was Advanced Technical Services that after I got off the service. I went to Louisiana and Texas and ended up in Beaumont for the Hurricane Rita Katrina security for this particular team was massive Beaumont being the exact center in between New Orleans and Houston in the area. I will call down there and to be in service as a team leader because when you get to a disaster area like this, there's no light Street time to down. It's a flooding. They have alligators down. Are you really need to get the CD up and going again, please Department all the people who are in charge of the city that make it work. Okay now, Particular team leader at the time. He's actually the field leader. He had a small heart attack when we got their boots on the ground next thing, you know, I was the next guy up. So I came in this whole Devolution was over this actual Center portion of Beaumont and the tragedy of that hurricane that will be resting my mind forever. But at the same time they needed Security Forces down there to go into gasoline. They need a security forces down there to make sure people want him pillaging and robbing stores, but nevertheless we were there was more important to me than the Marine Corps because it was right there at home in Texas. That was another great team. now as I move forward
The main team I've been a part of my whole life is the body of Christ.
No now this team this team. I've been a part of before I knew it. Okay before I knew it. I was a part of this team. Okay, man, Pastor Kenneth baptized in the different things that we did things prepared me for the team's I was earlier. That would make me a great team member. so moving forward as I talk more about the body of Christ the church. now that started at home with my family
Search I was fortunate enough to have preachers teachers and reverence in my family the guide me.
Now that's not something that I talk to you about. I just want to give you a general idea why I do what I do. In the Marine Corps, something called muscle memory. OK the Bible says you train a child, which way is to go a man. So as my family had me in church had me going to bake sales happy had me and teaching me how to treat people you have seen me treat you like that a man.
All right. So many times I found myself wondering as we all I'm sure did. What am I doing? That's helping this team, you know, am I being productive? I wonder if I'm really helping my team or my family. I bet you all at some point have Wonder as a part of a team. You're a felt this way. In fact some of us all have and that's why it's important the church by the way for us to know three things, right? If we are family. We are part of the body. We need to act like it. There's three things. We need to know where do I fit in a man? How do I use my gift? All right, all right. Barely, what do I start? Where do I begin? Where do I begin? How do I start? What are I go? Who can I talk to these questions? I'm going to talk about it my message so we can better understand how to work together the team in the body of Christ. Let's pray. Debbie father thank you for allowing me this opportunity. Speak to my brothers and sisters here at UCF. I'll come to you as humble as I know how they're having a father. Right. We got to do that. That's what's going to be my topic today shirts because it's on my heart that if we can't work together the team to move forward the kingdom of God. Then what are we going to do in the world today? Hey, man, let's bring up the definition of teamwork and you man.

Especially when you add the body of Christ to a man. Now my subject is going to be the body of Christ the church.
Bring up the definition of the body of Christ because we can't follow three points. If we don't know what the body of Christ he is a man. All right, y'all work with me now. The definition of the body of Christ is collectible, even or the body of Christ and every person has a position in the body and there is no part more important than another.

That's believe us in the Lord Almighty and Jesus Christ in the holy spirit. All right, the one thing the weed eater started. What we need to start at is where do I fit in on this teen? What do I fit in in the church? Where do I go? What time is it? Where do I go to fit in? I don't want to I don't know nothing about computers. I don't want to do Facebook live. And I don't know nothing about computers. There is a lot of questions that we can answer our selves and fit our self like a piece of the puzzle into the church body a man a man a man. Let's bring up 1st Corinthians verse 12 to 28.
And God has fixed up in the church first apostles. Secondly a profit thoroughly teaches then Miracle than gift of healing helps government divers kinds of tongue a man. God set these in the church now, I'll say things brother. What are you talking about? You know what you're right about that. But let me give you some examples of what the Lord has already here into UCF. UCF has business owners Public Service nurses drivers officers structures and much more fat in his house.

Whatever you do work heartily as for the Lord and not for men. Knowing that from the Lord you will receive an inheritance as your reward. You are serving the lord Christ. A man, alright. Alright. Okay, I'll talk about the food Minister Ministry earlier, right how big of a part of the church that it isn't people really don't know the ins and out of it also mentioned that I was using person are part of this team actually, make sure when it gets there it gets out to the people, right? They see my face. They recognize that I'm there and so hey this guy is here and rest of the team. Let's get this food out of here, but there's one piece of this puzzle that requires the food to be there. All right now, I'm very old Deacon bath. What's the driver for the VTA retire drove a bus stop talk about any driver that can put up a GPS to get where you going. I'm talking about that driver that don't need that GPS y'all come on. Now. We have a person in our church. Her name is Sister Laverne. She teaching sign language.
Now, do you know how important that is if you are deaf and you have somewhere and you can't hear and someone sign in for you for you to understand.
Now y'all don't know she's on a tag team now, but before she joined our Tech Team she was up here with our praise team signing. So people can see it on Facebook. So people in the community in our church can see her sign language and she told the class but I charge.
Using the gift that God gave her. Am I right about it? Alright. Alright. I got another one. I got one more for you church. One more now I tell you. I had a teacher named EJ Moss my next door neighbor and if you ain't never had a teacher next door to you. That was your teacher why you can't go nowhere. You understand you can't now. Hit the Kimbell. Is retired teacher and educator right for a long time, but you did it with other folks daily basis. You have to make decisions with these kids that can change a life down the road, right? That's what you have to do. You have to make sacrifices. You have to buy your own supplies sometime when the school don't pay your 4th Amendment, right? And now she has retired. I want to try to guess who's in charge of our kids World Ministry a man using a gift that God gave her a man. I get I get excited. I got my gift is for God. I'm going to be able to see 10 inches off my nose about myself, but Lord knows I can see when people are using their gift to the best and I'll tell you one thing as a team member. I love it. I love seeing all the team members do well do good. I love serving them that they do good. Right. Don't ask me why I'm helping you jump in and help me help him.
All right. All right. I'm telling you. What's on my mind now, I'm telling you what's on my mind start. Wow platform, right? You need a starting point. What direction do I go? I know Pasadena can tell what direction people go when it's a problem.
And it ain't told me. Hey, man, I tell you. I know I know I was in the service of our government as a marine, but I know I'm going to need that training as well. It's just spiritual training you understand its spiritual training. I can't fight this battle without my team. All right. Where do I start first place? We all can start at home? With your loved one. You're married. A significant other next week. Go ahead and put them first all week long. Try that on for size. I bet you got to work a little bit better a man.
That's what I that's how I got to where I am today. What you see is not the same man from 20 years ago, right? It was a lot that went into that right a man that started at home.
And also UCF has something unique we have connection card a man utilize your connection card and this world of text and pick utilize your connection card. Write it down. Okay, put it on there for the pastor and first lady can't see it. They can pray over they can call you they can email if they can deal with it accordingly as you fill it out. That's why you start you don't always have to be doing physical work to do work for the team a man not for the body of Christ a man at all about your physical strength. You need to work on your spiritual strength a man. That's the key the spiritual strength because without that spiritual strength when the demons come out you and the World Cup matches you won't be running. You won't be mad at specially if you don't have a team a man. Alright, alright another place you can start for us. Chili, really. Alright, then let's do some volunteer work. All right, volunteer your gifts and talents, right? Talked about the key and talk to the first lady talk to a deacon the leader of the church if find out if you can volunteer right and if you're still at is with what you can do. To be a part of the church body. Meet me here at 9 a.m. Sunday morning. Meet me here at 9 a.m. Sunday morning. I guarantee I can show you how to finish the dream a man, right? You don't even want to know why you do what you do? Cuz I like that I like for us to be a part of it. I like for us to be together as a team because no one no one can do it alone. All right. 4 in fact the body is not one member. But Mini. No United Christian Fellowship started with very few people very few. You can count them on one hand and it was a Bible study. A Bible study the foundation of our church started with a Bible study. Yeah, yeah, it is start with a great musician with the Bible, right? That's why we pray for your world. Hey, man.
