I Have, I Can, I Will
I Have, I Can, I Will
I was at the beauty shop a couple weeks ago and my beautician was talking about the importance of recognizing who we are in Christ and what we have in him. Often we take for granted what we have been blessed with as children of God.
Satan is good at bringing our faults in our faces to produce guilt, because he doesn’t want us to realize our worth to the kingdom. Today I want to bring out what we have as children of the most high God, what we can do and what we will do if we obey God’s Word.
I HAVE:
Eternal life: says: For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. We know that since we have accepted Christ, we have eternal life, we have been given the key to a life of
Forgiveness- our sins are forgiven if we repent of them,
We have a life of Joy, unspeakable Joy. The type of Joy the world can’t give us and it can’t be taken away from us.
We have a life of peace that passes all understanding
We have power through the Holy Spirit’s guidance and through the blood of Jesus to quench all the fiery darts of the enemy. To accomplish this, we must put on and keep on the full armor of God. Think about David and Goliath, in . WE are like David in some of our life situations, we are facing a giant in our lives, giant situations that if we looked at them in the natural, will seem too big to overcome. But David, was one who had faith in God and a slingshot, the king tried to give him his armor but it didn’t fit, David said, I will defeat the giant with my own weapons. His armor was his faith, his weapon, some rocks and a sling shot.
David said to the Philistine, “You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. 46 This day the Lord will deliver you into my hands, and I’ll strike you down and cut off your head. This very day I will give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds and the wild animals, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel. 47 All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the Lord saves; for the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give all of you into our hands.”David said to the Philistine, “You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. David in faith, through the rock and hit Goliath in the forehead and killed him.
We need to be more like David.
We have the grace and mercy of God. When we fall, when we ask forgiveness, his grace and mercy follows us all the days of our life.
We most of all, have the love of God, He loves us with an everlasting love
When we recognize what we have, then we can say I CAN
says, I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me. The key words are through Christ. We can do nothing without Christ. He is the one that gives us strength to endure, to live in this world, he is the one that has given us the Holy Spirit to guide us through a land that we are in, but not apart of. Jesus showed us how to live in a land that’s not ours through his 33 years on this earth. He endure all things even death on a cross.
Through
Even though we are not of this world, we can still live a victorious life through our faith and obedience
We can be fruitful and multiply. This is what God told Adam and Eve to do, be fruitful doesn’t just mean having children, It also means having the fruit of the Spirit evident in our lives. What is the fruit of the Spirit? But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. If we live according to this fruit, we will be living according to God Word and not be conformed to this world, the laws of the world will not affect us because we are living according to God’s law.
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
King James Version (KJV)
WE can then be a light to others. they will see Christ in us and the seed of eternal life will be planted. says 6 I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. sometimes we plant the seed of faith through our testimony, but the person doesn’t get it, someone else comes along and waters the seed you planted, then God makes it grow in the lives of others.
I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned. For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. ...
Most of us came to church because someone told us about a better way of living, they planted the seed, you came and the Word changed something in you that brought you to Christ, that’s the watering, as you grow in Christ you grow in your relationship with him, that’s God increasing you, developing you to be the person He has called you to be.
Through your obedience and faith you can say I WILL
: 1-2

You can accomplish everything God has ordained you to accomplish if you become a living sacrifice for him. We can’t expect God to bless us if we are not living according to His Word. HE want’s to give you everything, every happiness, all the peace, joy, and blessings you desire, but you must obtain these things His way.
