The Church and Leaders Working Together

This text meant that the Corinthians were to work as partners. Paul reminded this church they were in partnership with Christ.

We are in a Divine partnership.

God has called us to work together.

What keeps us like in the Corinthian church from partnering with Christ and one another? First things first then will answer the second.

We have too many who think they are more spiritual than the other and teetering to think they are more than Christ. Danger Will Robinson when people fail to partner with Christ and one another due to being more spiritual.

Leaders beware when you ignore/overlook/undervalue one another, especially in spiritually God-ordained offices of His Church.

All leadership is spiritual…By what spirit?

Everyone is led by something or someone but may not be led by Jesus Christ who died on the Cross and raised from the dead.

How do you know if someone has the right leadership spirit?

Heart/Preparation…God’s been preparing or has prepared their heart.

Renewal/Release/Relationship…God through Christ has made us partners. As partners we are to work together.

What do we learn in this text today that will aide us in working together?

Carnality seeks to exalt people over Christ (v.4-5)

People are tools of Christ (v.5)

God gives the increase (v.6-8)

We are partners w/ God (v.9)
