Righteousness through faith in Christ - another reason to rejoice

If anyone had cause for confidence in the flesh, Paul did - 3:4-7

2. Trust in Christ and His righteousness - 3:8-11

Compared to knowing Christ, everything else is loss and rubbish.

Knowing Christ is more than knowing facts. It is experiential and personal.

Paul discarded all self righteousness on the “manure/garbage pile”, the reason being, even the good things would never save.

How do we apply this?

Know Christ personally and trust in Him alone for salvation.

Know Christ and trust Him alone for righteousness.

Know the power of His resurrection life.
