Fatigue

People that are expecting often experience fatigue

The physical changes

The body prepares to produce

You are carrying the extra weight

Fatigued is the feeling of tiredness

Being tired

There are different kinds of tired

Physically Fatigued

When the muscle will not move

After strenuous activity

The mind may still be active

But the body has shut down

Have you been there?

Don’t push me when I’m tired

Don’t press me when I’m tired

But there is another fatigues

Mentally Fatigued

It’s not the body that is tired

But the mind

It means that you have taken all that you can handle

This different because if the body is fatigued the mind can still move

But when the mind is fatigued everything shuts down

Have you been there

I’m tired boss

Don’t want to talk to nobody

I’mm tired bosss

Don’t want to go no where

I’m tired boss

Don’t want to eat

I’m tired boss

And although the body has it’s vitality

If the mind is messed up

The body ain’t going no where

In our text we find Jesus cautioning His disciples concerning communication and

Jesus tells them to Pray

Communication

Talk to the Father

A prayer of prevention

Keep me from temptation

Temptation or Test

What was the test?

Maybe this was concerning what they were about to see

Fear vs. Faith

Jesus goes to pray

They go to sleep

Peter is alseep

James is asleep

John is sleeping

I never understood this

Luke the physician gives us a clue

In verse 45

When He rose from prayer, He came to the disciples and found them sleeping from sorrow,

They were sleep because of sorrow

One commentator says that they were sleep because of disappointment

This was a fatigue of frustration

This was this wasn’t a part of my plan

This was I put all my eggs in this basket

3 years of following and now it looks like

I’m not going to pray

I’m not going to praise

I’m going to pout

Jesus ask them why are you sleeping

I don’t think He was asking them why they were tired

I believe He was asking them why were they frustrated

Hey, why are you frustrated?

You missed it

You are expecting

I thought you were expecting?

It doesn’t matter what it looks like

I’m expecting

Jesus tells them to change their position

He tells them to get up

From low to high

Get Up!

The change in position will change your perspective

Things look different when you get up

Too low

Pray

There’s no way around it

What God placed on the inside of you will only come forth through prayer

The very thing that’s the hardest to do

Is the very thing that you need to
