The following night

Introduce Paul -Quick Summary -
Paul, a partner in murder -turned sufferer for the name Jesus, faced hardships and imprisonments as a messenger of the good news of Jesus Christ. While Paul was at the temple in Jerusalem, he was falsely accused by the Jews of defiling the holy temple by bringing Greeks inside. They started a riot, dragging Paul outside the temple and began beating him until the commander and soldiers arrived. Paul was arrested by the commander before the commander even asked who Paul was and what he had done.
Paul spoke to the Jews of his background, including his persecution of the followers of the “Way,” and his supernatural encounter with Jesus which followed. With a bright, blinding light from heaven, the resurrected Jesus Christ spoke to Paul, then called Saul, asking him, “Why do you persecute me?” Shortly thereafter, Saul found out that he was chosen and would be a witness to all people of what he had seen and heard. Jesus told Saul to go far away to the Gentiles, because his people, the Jews, would not hear his testimony about Jesus there. When Paul said this, the crowd shouted to get rid of him. The commander wanted him flogged, but Paul dodged it by informing the soldiers that he was a Roman citizen who wasn’t even found guilty. Then he appeared before the Sanhedrin, the Jewish high court who was responsible for the condemnation of the Righteous One, Jesus. The high priest of this court, ordered that Paul get hit in the mouth. When Paul continued to briefly make his case, the uproar became so bad that the commander thought that Paul would be torn apart, and ordered that Paul be forcibly taken away from them. The following night, Paul had another unforgettable encounter with Jesus to help him stay the course of his mission for Jesus Christ. Jesus stood by him.
