Distinctly aimed at the conversion of the hearer. 2. Be a sermon that interests them. 3. It must be instructive having light as well as fire. 4. The people must be impressed by our sermons and impressed upon us first. 5. Take out from our sermons everything that that can likely divert the hearer’s mind from the object we have in view. 6. Sermons full of Christ from beginning to the end are the most likely to be blessed to the conversion of the hearers. 7. Sermons that have been prayed over are most likely to convert people.Remember participatory proclamation and homiletical musicology!

Introduction
As we move toward family and friends month we will see there is opportunities for restoration… Window of opportunity...We conclude the series today on expecting a miracle; we looked at the miracle of a Godly vision , our testimony (blood of the lamb and word of our testimony)(), and Him Increasing in our lives ().The counsel of the LORD stands forever, the plans of his heart to all generations. ( ESV)Many of us can attest to the fact that if it was not for the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY working behind the scenes of our lives we would not be here… That his plan works and he is working his plan before our very eyes… But sometimes we need to be reminded of the historical evidence of God’s redemptive plan through Jesus Christ…
ESV10 So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.
Help Em Lord, Help us Lord; My help is coming...Who: Isaiah is a prophet call, anointed, appointed and sent by the Lord to prophecy to both Israel (NK) and Judah (SK). His name means “The Lord is Salvation.” Isaiah predicted the Messiah and the birth of Christ (, ); he described the deity of Christ () and his ministry (; ; ). Isaiah also foretold of the death of Christ (), and of his future millennial reign (; ; and 65). [RMS1]Important passages to overview! What: Isaiah lived in momentous times for Israel and Judah. Both nations had experienced prosperity during the first half of the eighth century B.C. But not long after the midpoint of the century, the Assyrians appeared on the horizon like a dark, ominous storm cloud. [David S. Dockery, ed., Holman Bible Handbook (Nashville, TN: Holman Bible Publishers, 1992), 378.] His message to God’s people was you have broken the Mosaic covenant, repent. No repentance then judgment. Yet there is hope beyond judgment for a glorious future restoration for both Israel and Judah and for the gentile nations. When: Isaiah prophesied from about 740 until about 698 B.C., during the reigns of the kings Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah of Judah. [David S. Dockery, ed., Holman Bible Handbook (Nashville, TN: Holman Bible Publishers, 1992), 378.] He was a witness to Israel the Northern Kingdom’s final judgment being carried away by the Assyrians 722 B.C. conquering Samaria.Where: His ministry was in JerusalemWhy: The Prophet offer’s God’s people hope through repentance and suffering.Context:The there are three major themes in Isaiah; Judgment and glimpse of deliverance (1-39), Righteous living while waiting of God (55-66), and Deliverance and Glimpse of Judgment (40-55). figuratively compares Jerusalem to a barren, abandoned woman who is now received warmly by her husband. Chapter 54 we see salvation for Israel though the servant of the LORD and in 55 salvation is extended also to the gentiles with an universal invitation for all to come to a free banquet feast.Look at your Bible’s
ESV1 “Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. 2 Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your labor for that which does not satisfy? Listen diligently to me, and eat what is good, and delight yourselves in rich food. 3 Incline your ear, and come to me; hear, that your soul may live; and I will make with you an everlasting covenant, my steadfast, sure love for David. 4 Behold, I made him a witness to the peoples, a leader and commander for the peoples. 5 Behold, you shall call a nation that you do not know, and a nation that did not know you shall run to you, because of the Lord your God, and of the Holy One of Israel, for he has glorified you. 6 “Seek the Lord while he may be found; call upon him while he is near; 7 let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. 8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. 10 “For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, 11 so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it. 12 “For you shall go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and the hills before you shall break forth into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. 13 Instead of the thorn shall come up the cypress; instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle; and it shall make a name for the Lord, an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.”
State Key Verse: Seek the Lord while he may be found; call upon him while he is near. ()I would like to preach this morning as the Lord guides on the thought:State Title: THE TIME IS NOWPrayer of illumination: Father I come in the name of Jesus needing you more now than I have ever needed your before, thank your for your faithfulness through out history, thank your that your word is true, that your word is spirit and life… send down your word from your mouth so that it does not return to you empty, but accomplish what you please and succeed in the purpose you sent it.My family history… (Missed opportunity for restoration…)I was raised in a single parent home. Mother did all she could to make ends meet, she works two jobs and still find the strength make dinner for four children. Single parent home was not unusual in our neighborhood. Yet, even at a very young age I saw the advantages the could be had by having both parents in the home. When I was dating my soon to be wife I had an opportunity to meet her family for the first time… To see the people and the environment that shaped her as a person, her faith and value system. See in new relationships we give persons opportunity to discover who we are by opening up our life to them. And that is what the LORD is doing in our text - his is giving us opportunity to discover who he is... Tell the person near you… Don’t miss your opportunity today...Preposition/Homiletical Idea/Thesis & Antithesis.

He is calling us find our strength in him.
ESV11 Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. 12 I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. 13 I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
God is calling us not to Mosaic law, but sure blessings of abundant life in Christ the Son the of David
ESV34 And as for the fact that he raised him from the dead, no more to return to corruption, he has spoken in this way, “ ‘I will give you the holy and sure blessings of David.’

First, you will turn from worrying and be led forward in the peace of God and you will thing differently seeing that all creation is praising him with your own eyes.
ESV6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
Second, instead empty old ways springing around there are pleasant and good happening that are sign the God is forever with you now. You are not cut off!
ESV6 If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned. 7 If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
