According to the Bible, the Mission of NEW VICTORY is to present the gospel of Jesus Christ to Renew lives, to build up believers to Relate to our Lord and His people as growing disciples, to help fully Restore disciples through discovery, development and deployment their gifts, so that they may become mature and fruitful leaders, who will in turn go into the world and Reach others for Christ.Charles Haddon Spurgeon says that sermons likely to win souls should aid to do the following: 1. Distinctly aimed at the conversion of the hearer. 2. Be a sermon that interests them. 3. It must be instructive having light as well as fire. 4. The people must be impressed by our sermons and impressed upon us first. 5. Take out from our sermons everything that that can likely divert the hearer’s mind from the object we have in view. 6. Sermons full of Christ from beginning to the end are the most likely to be blessed to the conversion of the hearers. 7. Sermons that have been prayed over are most likely to convert people.Remember participatory proclamation and homiletical musicology!

Introduction

As we move toward family and friends month we will see there is opportunities for restoration… Window of opportunity...We conclude the series today on expecting a miracle; we looked at the miracle of a Godly vision , our testimony (blood of the lamb and word of our testimony)(), and Him Increasing in our lives ().The counsel of the LORD stands forever, the plans of his heart to all generations. ( ESV)Many of us can attest to the fact that if it was not for the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY working behind the scenes of our lives we would not be here… That his plan works and he is working his plan before our very eyes… But sometimes we need to be reminded of the historical evidence of God’s redemptive plan through Jesus Christ…

​ ESV10 So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.

Help Em Lord, Help us Lord; My help is coming...Who: Isaiah is a prophet call, anointed, appointed and sent by the Lord to prophecy to both Israel (NK) and Judah (SK). Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. 2 Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your labor for that which does not satisfy? Mother did all she could to make ends meet, she works two jobs and still find the strength make dinner for four children. Single parent home was not unusual in our neighborhood. Yet, even at a very young age I saw the advantages the could be had by having both parents in the home. When I was dating my soon to be wife I had an opportunity to meet her family for the first time… To see the people and the environment that shaped her as a person, her faith and value system. See in new relationships we give persons opportunity to discover who we are by opening up our life to them.And that is what the LORD is doing in our text - his is giving us opportunity to discover who he is... I. TO BE SATISFIED IN THE LORD (vv. 1-5)

B. Don’t get confused about contentment, God doesn’t want you content with what you can provide, but with what he provide.

He is calling us find our strength in him.

​ ESV11 Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. 12 I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. 13 I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

God is calling us not to Mosaic law, but sure blessings of abundant life in Christ the Son the of David

​ ESV34 And as for the fact that he raised him from the dead, no more to return to corruption, he has spoken in this way, “ ‘I will give you the holy and sure blessings of David.’

II. TO STRETCH BEYOND WHERE WE ARE IN THE LORD (vs. 6-9)

B. Our God is not subject to worldly rulers powers but He has all power and authority.

III. TO BE SUSTAINED IN THE LORD(vv. 10-11)

A. One of the biggest problems in life is finding how to live well. Finding how to be successful in life, but once we find out the challenge is pursuing it. Why is this important

B. What is going to cause life to have stability and be fruitful for us is the living word or God.

C. To be sustained in our living we must walk the LORD in the power of him word.

IV. TO IMAGINE WHAT ABUNDANT LIVING CAN LOOK LIKE IN THE LORD (vv. 12-13)

A. When noise and routine of life has you locked up our creativity becomes the first casualty.

B. When the LORD is your joy you will experience life differently than those who don’t know him.

First, you will turn from worrying and be led forward in the peace of God and you will thing differently seeing that all creation is praising him with your own eyes.

​ ESV6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

Second, instead empty old ways springing around there are pleasant and good happening that are sign the God is forever with you now. You are not cut off!

​ ESV6 If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned. 7 If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
