2 Kings 18:1–8 KJV 1900

Now it came to pass in the third year of Hoshea son of Elah king of Israel, that Hezekiah the son of Ahaz king of Judah began to reign. Twenty and five years old was he when he began to reign; and he reigned twenty and nine years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name also was Abi, the daughter of Zachariah. And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that David his father did. He removed the high places, and brake the images, and cut down the groves, and brake in pieces the brasen serpent that Moses had made: for unto those days the children of Israel did burn incense to it: and he called it Nehushtan. He trusted in the Lord God of Israel; so that after him was none like him among all the kings of Judah, nor any that were before him. For he clave to the Lord, and departed not from following him, but kept his commandments, which the Lord commanded Moses. And the Lord was with him; and he prospered whithersoever he went forth: and he rebelled against the king of Assyria, and served him not. Numbers 21:4–10 KJV 1900

And they journeyed from mount Hor by the way of the Red sea, to compass the land of Edom: and the soul of the people was much discouraged because of the way. And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived. And the children of Israel set forward, and pitched in Oboth.

1 Samuel 15:17–23 KJV 1900

And Samuel said, When thou wast little in thine own sight, wast thou not made the head of the tribes of Israel, and the Lord anointed thee king over Israel? And the Lord sent thee on a journey, and said, Go and utterly destroy the sinners the Amalekites, and fight against them until they be consumed. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, And stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, He hath also rejected thee from being king.

Leviticus 20:7–9 KJV 1900

Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the Lord your God. And ye shall keep my statutes, and do them: I am the Lord which sanctify you. For every one that curseth his father or his mother shall be surely put to death: he hath cursed his father or his mother; his blood shall be upon him.

Leviticus 11:44–45 KJV 1900

For I am the Lord your God: ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and ye shall be holy; for I am holy: neither shall ye defile yourselves with any manner of creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. For I am the Lord that bringeth you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: ye shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.

Leviticus 19:1–4 KJV 1900

its not the act or the atribute of a thing or person that makes themor it holy but the obedience unto the lord.

you can give ten percent of your income to charitable organizeation but that is not paying your tithes to the Lord.

We you the serpent delivered the people when they looked but that was in obedience to the lord. after that the serpent is neither holy or unholy its just brass.

the not eating of an unclean animal did not make a man holy it was his obedience to the lord in that commandment

Jesus later said its not that which goes into a man that defiles him. and that all thing were given to be enjoyed with thaksgiving .

sauls desire to make a show of sacrifice was not obeying God. God does not honor our grand jestures but our obedience.

without obedience the sacrifice means nothing.

with out obedience going to church means nothing. singing does no good unless you mean what you sing. worship is not worship if its just a ritual but must come from the heart.
