John 4:7–26 NKJV
7 A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give Me a drink.” 8 For His disciples had gone away into the city to buy food. 9 Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, “How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?” For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans. 10 Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.” 11 The woman said to Him, “Sir, You have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. Where then do You get that living water? 12 Are You greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank from it himself, as well as his sons and his livestock?” 13 Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, 14 but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.” 15 The woman said to Him, “Sir, give me this water, that I may not thirst, nor come here to draw.” 16 Jesus said to her, “Go, call your husband, and come here.” 17 The woman answered and said, “I have no husband.” Jesus said to her, “You have well said, ‘I have no husband,’ 18 for you have had five husbands, and the one whom you now have is not your husband; in that you spoke truly.” 19 The woman said to Him, “Sir, I perceive that You are a prophet. 20 Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, and you Jews say that in Jerusalem is the place where one ought to worship.” 21 Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father. 22 You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews. 23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. 24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” 25 The woman said to Him, “I know that Messiah is coming” (who is called Christ). “When He comes, He will tell us all things.” 26 Jesus said to her, “I who speak to you am He.”

Today from the Subject “IDENTIFYING THE GIFT YOU ARE”
I find this passage scripture a lot more interesting now then I used to....
Many of you now are might be checking out now not recognizing this scripture has everything to do with you. You say hmmmm preacher aight you’ve got my attention.
See most of us come to church week in and week out never realizing we are just like the woman at the well. Not recognizing our gifting and let alone recognizing the gift in front of you. Therefore, not stewarding it correctly and leaving it untapped and untouched. Rather then unwrapping and finding out all that’s inside. Jesus is asking for a drink of our praise and worship when come to commune with Him, but some of us have come with bills, children, marriages, and family issues on our mind that we can’t focus on the gift He has given us.
(PACE YOURSELF)
Some of us have not realized we have made it through another week not banging our heads against the wall in a mental hospital or even in a grave wishing we had done more while we were yet here on earth.
Many of you sitting here listening right now are asking the question of how can I identify the gift I am. HMMM Glad you asked that question.
Point #1
God placed you on the earth for the world we live in RIGHT NOW.... Can I get 3 people to say Amen. See you couldn’t have been born in biblical times because you weren’t built for it. Matter of fact of us in this room today couldn’t deal with the climate of our culture shift in the 60s and 70s which puts you here right now and ready to be revealed for those to recognize God’s gift in YOU.
Romans 8:18–21 NKJV
18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; 21 because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
OH that’s right many of you actually have made it up in your mind you are insignificant and there is not much you can offer the world with your very presence. Well I came all the way from Jacksonville to tell you that your presence is a Gift and it should be recognized but not just recognized. It should not be abused or mishandled.
Do I have any mishandled, misunderstood, misused, abused, and discarded folk in here this morning. Some folks have seemingly walked all over you, by you and seen right through you, all while not recognizing the GIFT you are. And maybe if they just engaged you like this woman did Jesus at the well
OH Yes young people many of you are starting yet another school year. Some of you trying to impress some individuals who have absolutely no idea who you are and what you have to offer them. You might try to fit in with a particular crowd or clique, but I stopped by to tell you WERE NOT CALLED TO FIT IN BUT STAND OUT AND DON’T SELL WHO YOU ARE TO FIT WHAT OTHERS CONSIDER STANDARDS OF FITTING IN
See everyone of you were placed here for a purpose and God does not make mistakes. Can a few of you shout amen in this house?
HEAR ME GOOD AND CLEARLY KINGDOM HARVEST IT IS TIME FOR YOU TO GO WHERE YOU ARE CELEBRATED AND NOT WHERE YOU ARE TOLERATED.
POINT #2
THE ENEMY WILL TRY and STOP OR SLOW YOU DOWN WITH YOUR PAST
10 And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our God. 11 And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death. 12 Therefore, rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to you, O earth and sea, for the devil has come down to you in great wrath, because he knows that his time is short!”
Revelation 12:10–12 NKJV
10 Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. 12 Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time.”
I want you to cut yourself a break you are not perfect, but God still uses Ordinary people to do extraordinary things.
Look at Neo from the Matrix a dysfunctional computer tech who had all the power to save Zion from the machines he just needed to believe.
Or what about Spiderman a nerdy and some would call scrawny journalist gets his power and uses them to fight crime.
What do these have to do with you? See just like Neo his enemy Smith as they would fight he would always remind him of his name Anderson. He would bring that name up to taunt him for what his real purpose was to be NEO.
Some of you are trying to live out other peoples lives and not recognizing the gift YOU ARE.
There is only one of you so be YOU. Not a copy of someone else.
POINT #3
KNOW THAT YOU ARE THE GIFT THAT IS WAITING TO BE UNWRAPPED
When you walk in who you are there are people waiting to unwrap you.
2 Corinthians 5:17 ESV
17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
1 Peter 2:9 ESV
9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

11 according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord, 12 in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him.

Ephesians 3:11–12 NKJV
11 according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord, 12 in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him.
John 15:16 NKJV
16 You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.
