Is there someone who you personally admire, that you would really like to have the opportunity to get to know on a personally deep level? (Ronald Reagan, Martin Luther King, Mother Teresa, John Kennedy, Billy Graham)
Is there someone who you personally admire, that you would really like to have the opportunity to get to know on a personally deep level? (Ronald Reagan, Martin Luther King, Mother Teresa, John Kennedy, Billy Graham)
If you had an open opportunity, how would you react?
Quote: “I am not what you see. I am what time and effort and interaction slowly unveil.” Richelle Goodrich, Slaying Dragons
If they desired to live with you, how would their presence impact you? (where you went, what you would say, who you would or would not hang out or talk with). Ask and respect their opinions, do what they would like to do?
Would you ask and respect their opinion about what they would like to do?
Would you have a tendency to praise them openly and privately for every good thing you saw them do?

Believers have the opportunity to get to know intimately the God of all creation. Do we respond to God like we would Elvis or Michael W Smith?
John 14:15–18 NKJV
“If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.
Another - 2 greek words hetros and allos. Hetros - another of a different sort, Allos - another of the same sort

Father is giving us another helper who is just like Jesus. They are the same kind.
Helper - Parakletos - lawyer or personal counselor, coach.
Compound of para and kaleo. Para - very close (Paul and Timothy, Sherri and I); kaleo - to beckon or call
Holy Spirit is permanently called closely alongside us to provide coaching, direction, instruction and counsel in our life
Believers often say they would like to be “with Jesus to ask Him questions”. Why not ask Holy Spirit? He is the most ignored person of the Trinity
What is our perception of Him? Is He a person or just an influence?
How often do we speak directly to Holy Spirit during the day?
John 1:33–34 NKJV
I did not know Him, but He who sent me to baptize with water said to me, ‘Upon whom you see the Spirit descending, and remaining on Him, this is He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’ And I have seen and testified that this is the Son of God.”
John 1:32–34 NKJV
And John bore witness, saying, “I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and He remained upon Him. I did not know Him, but He who sent me to baptize with water said to me, ‘Upon whom you see the Spirit descending, and remaining on Him, this is He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’ And I have seen and testified that this is the Son of God.”
2 Corinthians 13:14 NKJV
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.
John 1:30–33 NKJV
This is He of whom I said, ‘After me comes a Man who is preferred before me, for He was before me.’ I did not know Him; but that He should be revealed to Israel, therefore I came baptizing with water.” And John bore witness, saying, “I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and He remained upon Him. I did not know Him, but He who sent me to baptize with water said to me, ‘Upon whom you see the Spirit descending, and remaining on Him, this is He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’

Jesus as a man carried the person of the Holy Spirit into the earth. He illustrated a lifestyle that is within reach but must be reached for. It will not come to us. Much of what we need in life will be brought to us, but most of what we want we will have to go get. It’s just the way of the Kingdom. Johnson, Bill. LIKE a dove. Twice mentioned “remaining”.

Every step with the dove in mind.
He illustrated a lifestyle to us that is within reach but must be reached for. It will not just come to us. He demonstrated what is possible in partnership or communion with Holy Spirit.

This is dealing with the temporal effects that sin has on people’s lives. There isn’t just a future death penalty for sins, but sin destroys people emotionally and physically in this life too. It is this present destruction that sin brings into people’s lives that Jesus gave us power to remit. Through intercession we can remit people’s sins so that even though they have sown to the flesh and deserve to reap corruption (), they will not reap what they have sown. This is done for the purpose of loosing people from the bondage that Satan desires to hold them in until they see the light and repent. This is only a temporary situation and must be continually repeated if the people we are praying for are continuing to live in sin. Andrew Wommack's Living Commentary.

This opens up new realms in walking with God that I had not considered.
Holy Spirit is a person (not human in our image, we are in His image) who desires to be our closest friend.
Holy Spirit is a person (not human in our image, we are in His image) who desires to be our closest friend.
Ephesians 4:30 NKJV
And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
To not grieve the Holy Spirit is a command focused on the issue of sin: in thought, attitude, or action (or inaction).
“Grieve” is a word that means to cause sorrow or distress. It describes the pain the heart of the Holy Spirit can feel because of something we would do or allow in our lives. It is character centered. This is a boundary that must have the attention of anyone who is interested in hosting His Presence more powerfully.

Do not quench the Spirit.
The word “quench” means to stop the flow of. The original language defines it as to extinguish, or put out. This word brilliantly uses two metaphors to illustrate this connection with God. “To stop the flow” could be illustrated by bending a garden hose in half until water no longer flows from it, while “extinguish” portrays the passion part of our walk with God. To lose passion for God always affects our ability to allow the Holy Spirit to flow from us to change circumstances around us. This verse is power centered.
To not quench the Holy Spirit is a command that zeroes in on the co-laboring aspect of our relationship.

Acts 15:28 NKJV
For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things:
Johnson, Bill. Hosting the Presence: Unveiling Heaven's Agenda (p. 138). Destiny Image. Kindle Edition.
KJV 1900And it shall come to pass in that day, That his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, And his yoke from off thy neck, And the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.
Do you have a relationship with our God? Do you want to?
To not quench the Holy Spirit is a command that zeroes in on the co-laboring aspect of our relationship.
Anointing destroy’s the yoke (not just breaks) Broken things can be repaired or restored. Destroyed things are beyond restoration. When a military aircraft, vessel or piece of equipment becomes trapped behind enemy lines, spec forces will set devices that will completely destroy the item before they are evacuated. No chance that it will be used against them. The disciples ask about restoring the kingdom to Israel and Jesus responds about receive power through the Holy Spirit coming (resting) upon us.
The Kingdom is within us - (Amp) “Nor will people say, Look! Here [it is]! or, See, [it is] there! For behold, the kingdom of God is within you [in your hearts] and among you [surrounding you]. “We become witnesses - we are to display the kingdom to this world Jesus often said to preach “the kingdom is at hand” (within reach)
WORSHIP HAS AN unusual effect on our surroundings. We know that God inhabits our praise (see ). It stands to reason that a manifestation of God’s presence is released. Atmosphere is changed. In fact, the atmosphere of Jerusalem came about in part because of worship. “We hear them in our own tongues speaking of the mighty deeds of God” ( NASB). Such praise contributed to an atmospheric shift over an entire city where the spiritual blindness was lifted, followed by 3,000 souls being saved. I’ve seen this myself when we’ve rented a particular facility for church services, only to have the people who use it afterward comment on the Presence that remains.
How often do we speak directly and involve Holy Spirit during the day?

God’s Presence Causes His enemies to flee or fall into confusion

The original language defines it as to extinguish, or put out.
NIVMay God arise, may his enemies be scattered; may his foes flee before him.
This word in it’s definitions uses two metaphors to illustrate this connection with God.
The Jews sought to sieze and stone Jesus but he escaped their hand (Jn David 10:39)The Jews didn’t like Jesus statement “Before Abraham was, I AM”, and tried to stone him. “but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.” ()At Jesus arrest, “Jesus therefore, knowing all things that would come upon Him, went forward and said to them, “Whom are you seeking?” The answered Him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus said to them “I am He”. And judas who betrayed Him , also stood with them. Now when He said to them, “I am He,” they drew back and fell to the ground.” () A friend of mine used to take people onto the streets in San Francisco many years ago. They met with heavy resistance. But when he realized that when God arises, His enemies are scattered, he strategically used this approach for ministry (see ). He split his team into two. One half went out to worship, and the other half would minister to people. The police told him that when he was on the streets, crime stopped. This is an amazing result from the dove being released over a part of the city. The atmosphere changes as the Presence is given His rightful place.
“To stop the flow” could be illustrated by bending a garden hose in half until water no longer flows from it - Church gifts and fruits slowly dying

We have a command to heal.

We heal by the authority of Jesus Name
Child’s joy being quenched by rejection
NKJVThen Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.”

Released from Insomnia - Nov 08, 2017 - We received this testimony from a woman in the UK who received prayer in the Healing Rooms over Skype:I called in via Skype to the Healing Rooms last Saturday. I needed prayer for insomnia as I was having great difficulty sleeping and was just so exhausted. I have a six-month-old and a five-year-old, so was struggling during the day. I was lying awake for a large part of the night, struggling to drift off. A lovely guy prayed for me. He prayed twice, and the second time, I had a picture of Jesus. He came towards me and touched my brain, sort of did something. All I know is I have slept really well, every night since! Thank you so much for allowing God to use you and minister to me.The Anointing Is The EquipmentThe anointing is the supernatural equipment to get the job done. God will never call someone to do something without equipping them with the necessary tools to get the task done. Just as a mountain climber has to have the right boots and equipment, so we—if we would be able ministers of the new covenant—need the anointing. We heal by the overflowing Presence of Holy Spirit upon us in an environment of faith, worship and expectancy.Testimonies of people healed as they walk into the manifest presenceFalling Message: “The Prescription of Joy”
- “Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit, Says the Lord of hosts”
RH Brown - In China his interpreter falls out under HS. He moves on pointing to people and trusting HS to move. A chinese man falls out and later approaches an usher and is exclaiming how beautiful the women are. The usher brings him forward and the man explains that he was a lifelong homosexual. As he was under the Spirit his nature changed and he has no feelings toward men, and the women are very attractive to him.A couple facing divorce come forward. She has a purse with a very long strap. As they fall out, her purse strap seems to wrap around them both and they are tied together. After a while, they begin to laugh, their love toward each other is renewed, and they embrace and are restored to a place of love. The woman with an issue of blood. Her faith made her whole: What was her faith in? That Jesus carried a presence and power that would heal her if she only touched him. He acknowledged that “power” had left him. Touch of Malcus’s ear;
“And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power”
PETER’S SHADOW IS one of the great stories about the overflow of Presence upon a person. () There is no indication that this was directed or expected by Peter. But people learned they could access the power that rested upon him.
Is is possible that our shadow will heal?
Does our shadow convey whatever is overshadowing us?
Does our being a resting place of the Spirit makes both the shadow and the anointed cloth/articles of clothing items of great power in our lives. I don’t believe this principle has anything to do with our shadow by itself. It has to do with the proximity to the anointing. Things become possible through us that have nothing to do with our faith. They have everything to do with Who is resting upon us—Who we’re giving place to. In this context more good things happen by accident than ever used to happen on purpose. The same is true with clothing. The manifest Presence of God upon a person makes unimaginable things possible. His Presence saturates cloth.
