For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. NKJV
We live today in a world where the Fearless have dominion and live as kings . The fearful are oppressed and live in bondage. The Devil, your adversary, roams the land seeking whom he may devour. Fear is his weapon of choice. He uses fear to rob you of your destiny and your dreams holding you captive in your mind , weak and with feelings of despair.
To conquer is to be free. And when you make up your mind to live a life of No More Fear, you can live and not be burned by the fire. That freedom will let you walk on water. That freedom will deliver giants into your hand. That freedom only comes when you put fear in its place.
Tell your neighbor No More Fear.
Elijah , a great man of God is known for his fearlessness. His boldness brought him before the King and he stood flat footed and told the King there will be no rain for three and a half years. Elijah single handedly slew 400 prophets of Baal. But When Jezebel arose, fear came over him.He accepted the lies of the devil. He forgot who he was and forgot the God he served.
What did Fear do to Elijah
Fear destroyed his confidence, It poisoned his heart and weakened his mind.
Hebrews 10:35 KJV 1900
Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.
Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.
Fear is designed to make you throw away your confidence , your reward and leads you to destruction. A fearful Christian is powerless against the plans of the devil. when you are full of Fear , it destroys your confidence, poisons you heart and weakens your mind.
What is Fear?
Fear is an emotion induced by a perceived threat which causes people to quickly pull far away from it and usually hide; response to a specific stimulus, such as pain or the threat of danger.
The Bible mentions two specific types of fear. The first type is beneficial and is to be encouraged. The second type is a detriment and is to be overcome. The first type of fear is fear of the Lord. This type of fear does not necessarily mean to be afraid of something. Rather, it is a reverent awe of God; a reverence for His power and glory. However, it is also a proper respect for His wrath and anger. In other words, the fear of the Lord is a total acknowledgement of all that God is, which comes through knowing Him and His attributes.
Fear of the Lord brings with it many blessings and benefits. It is the beginning of wisdom and leads to good understanding (). Only fools despise wisdom and discipline (). Furthermore, fear of the Lord leads to life, rest, peace, and contentment (). It is the fountain and life () and provides a security and a place of safety for us ().
The Second type of fear is this tormenting spirit that does not come from our heavenly father. It has no benefits. Just as faith is needed for God to operate , the devil uses fear for access and control of your life.
But I want to encourage you today that you can and you will overcome fear. There is nothing a devil can do to a confident fearless believer and when you refuse fear you refuse the devil access to your world.
Shout No More Fear
Overcoming fear is something we all face when we endeavor to do new things, such as take a new job, fall in love, create a new product line, or start a business.
(Many of you today are here because you need a word , a strategy, a plan to move from A to B. You desire to take the Leap but don’t know how or where to do so. Some of you just need to be pushed into your destiny. Pushed into your purpose. I can see some of you Holding on to the rail of a burning building because you’re afraid to jump to safety.)

You can not succeed in life if you give into fear.
Fear is the wall that blocks success.
You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.
example: solve a problem in the city , then the county, then the state, then the country, then the world
God is calling you to arise from fear and unbelief. Your life has been created to live in power, to live in dominion, and favor! God is opening your eyes to see new opportunities and to solve problems. Promotion, increase, and expansion is on God's agenda for you. In Jesus Name
Give God some praise.

Shout No More Fear.
Before we can overcome fear we have to understand first what fear looks like in our day and time. And we we need to understand its nature.
There are many places in the bible we see fear in action .Adam and Eve -the contradiction of Gods word open the door for fear to come in, Elijah hid from Jezebel, Gideon was insecure and hid, David was afraid and found a cave, the twelve disciples dealt with fear (drowning, people, abandonment), etc. Worry, anxiety, unbelief are all having to do with fear.
Remove the “F” from fear and whats left. Ear. The ear is the organ we use to Hear. What’s in your ear?
Family
Friends
Finances
Future
Frustration
Fixed mind set
In this battle field of the mind today we deal with different types of fears.
In this battle field of the mind, today we deal with
Handout
1. Fear of failure- exam time, evaluation time, performance time, etc.
2. Fear of poverty -wealthy people have this fear, poor people have it. Poverty is fear of not having enough.
3. Fear of rejection - from spouse, a parent, a friend, a co-worker, in ministry
4. Fear of people - related to fear of rejection.
5. Fear of peers - insecurity, rejection
6. Fear of ‘letting go’- children to school, husband/wife to work, teenager leaving for college
Fear of success/Hard work
A lot of times men deal with the fear of rejection and they believe that if I work real hard and make lots of money I’ll have all the signs of success working for me and in that moment we allow fear to come and we forget about God . Self preservation comes in and we become work-a-holics. Then that spirit of fear invites another spirit in called greed. why? because the first $100,000 ain’t enough then the first Million ain’t enough. All because of fear.
Side note: Now Men I’m not telling you to not be the best but what I am saying is this. In order to be the best you must include God. You cant truly be your best without him. If God is not include in your road to success. Then your goals and dreams are being funded by the devil.
***It is worth noting that fear almost always relates to possible future events that have not yet arrived.*** Therefore most fears are based on lies. When we believe a lie and not the truth fear is most often the result.
The enemy speaks words in the form of a thought or a suggestion, a person gives their mind & attention to those words, and through their mind , fear is fed into their spirit and with fear in a their spirit they’ll act in fear and deactivate their faith

The Nature of Fear
1. Fear is a spirit.
Where there is no fear , there is no lack, no poverty, no intimidation. Without fear the devil is powerless, ineffective, incapacitated.
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. NKJV From this we can conclude at least two things:
A. Fear is a force that operates in the unseen realm.
B. Fear is a demonic force because we are told it is not from God.
-Paul refers to a spirit of fear in as well. He says it is a spirit of bondage.
-John tells us in that this fear causes “torment”. The word carries the root meaning of punishment. When this spirit of fear is working, we are constantly being hammered and punished in our mind.
Fear stands against the freedom that we are to live in as believers in Christ.
Fear breaks down, destroys and paralyses the human mind, and body. It paralyses a person from running from or jumping from a burning building. It paralyses a person from making decisions, being creative, and taking initiative. Fear causes people to rob, murder, lie, cheat etc.

2. Fear is negative faith- Believing for bad things. For the thing I greatly feared has come upon me, And what I dreaded has happened to me. NKJV
me. NKJV
The worst of my fears has come true, what I’ve dreaded most has happened. My repose is shattered, my peace destroyed. No rest for me, ever—death has invaded life.”

Peterson, E. H. (2005). The Message: the Bible in contemporary language (). Colorado Springs, CO: NavPress.
With Faith I can create but fear destroys.
*** Faith creates blessing but fear brings destruction***.
Faith creates but fear destroys. Job said, that which I feared the most has come upon me. His fear steadily increased until finally that which he believed for happened. With the degree we fear, we bring trouble on ourselves and with the same degree of faith we reverse the process and cause blessing to come upon us.

3. Fear is contagious.
"The officers shall speak further to the people, and say, 'What man is there who is fearful and fainthearted? Let him go and return to his house, lest the heart of his brethren faint like his heart.' NKJV

Example: After Earth by Will Smith
In the Movie After Earth Staring Will Smith In the near future, an environmental cataclysm forces the human race to abandon Earth and settle on a new world, Nova Prime.
One thousand years later, The Ranger Corps, a peacekeeping organization commanded by General Cypher Raige (Will Smith), comes into conflict with the S'krell, alien creatures who intended to conquer Nova Prime. Their secret weapons are the Ursas, large predatory creatures that hunt by "sensing" fear. The Rangers struggle to win the war against these creatures because of the scent or the pharamon produce by their bodies when fear was upon them. Many of you are in this very predicament. Fear has knocked on your door and instead of answering with Faith ,you allow fear to come in and give the devil access to devour you. The Rangers continue to struggle against the Ursas until Cypher learns how to completely suppress his fear, a technique called "ghosting". After teaching this technique to the other Rangers, he leads the Ranger Corps to victory.
In this film Fear is the real enemy. if there is no fear the alien creature is rendered paralyzed in the fight against the rangers. So in order to win the ranger has to learn how to overcome his/her fear.

Overcoming Your Fear
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. NKJV

1. Put God First and Abide in him.
This something you choose to do. Illustration: Rick Warren says,
"Worry is the warning light that God is really not first in my life at this particular moment." Because
worry says that God is not big enough to handle my troubles.
Jesus says in
"Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness.."
kingdom of God and his righteousness.." The antidote to worry? Put God first!
The antidote to worry? Put God first!

A. When you put God First you receive the Gift Of Power
-We have the promise of power that come to us through the Holy Spirit.
But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
-The Spirit of fear will move against you to shut down the flow of power that is available through the Holy Spirit.

2. Get to know God.
Establish intimacy with the Father. Get to know Him and not just know about Him. Its not enough to just be saved. You got to be born again. It is amazing what the revelation of His love will do for your heart.
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. , KJV
Perfect love casts out all fear! . Perfect Love is Jesus. the one who died on the cross to set us free from these spirits, but it is also Him moving through us in love to other people.
Handout
A. When you know God you receive The Gift Of Love ***
-We have received God’s love. His love is the Divine motive for our salvation in the first place ().
-His agape love never fails.
-So it stands to reason that the Spirit of fear would work to shut down the flow and understanding of God’s love. When you doubt God’s love for you, you will stumble in fear. You end up playing the daisy game with your faith–“He loves me…He loves me not!”
Worship- ( Fear Fighters Worship -Jentenzen Franklin)
The apostle Paul declared of Christ, “In Him we live and move and have our being” (). God wants you to live in constant communion with Him. That is how you receive His constant provision and protection.
You cultivate communion by learning to worship God in spirit and in truth. Praising God and thanking Him for His love and provision keeps you dependent on Him. You need to recognize that He is your source of life. That will keep you seeking Him and living under His shadow.
Moses did not have very peaceful circumstances in his life. He led over two million people for forty years through the wilderness. The Bible says that the people complained and rebelled against him. At times they wanted to return to Egypt or get rid of Moses. Yet, Moses is called the meekest man who ever lived.
How did he do it? He had learned to dwell in the presence of God. When he entered the tent to commune with God, all the people stood at their tent doors to see what God would do. They knew that he had learned to commune with God and to hear His voice.
The enemy knows whether you dwell in the shadow or just visit there when you are in trouble. He knows that his attacks are not successful when you are dwelling in the safety of God’s presence. Your communion with God will keep you there
When you learn to dwell in the shadow of the almighty , Fear can’t find you , worry can’t find, doubt can’t find you

3.Grow your faith.
Jesus spoke of no faith, little, great faith. He talked about the Word that brought 30, 60, 100 fold into the lives of those who were good soil. From that I can realize that I can grow my faith.
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.The New King James Version. (1982). (). Nashville: Thomas Nelson.
The point is: Before you trust, you have to listen. But unless Christ’s Word is preached, there’s nothing to listen to
Peterson, E. H. (2005). The Message: the Bible in contemporary language (). Colorado Springs, CO: NavPress.
If what you are listening to doesn’t line up with the word of God. Then what you are hearing is in error.
When man says no, God says YES. When man says you have no money ,God says I will make man put money in your pocket. When man says “ you can’t. God says I can.
When you’re afraid, you’ll do anything to put off working toward your true purpose.
This results in countless excuses. You’re too tired. You don’t have enough time. Your idea is not that great anyway — the list could go on forever. Ask yourself, is there any truth to these statements, or are you constructing excuses to avoid potential failure? Making excuses is a lot easier than putting in the time and effort to become the person God wants you to be, and it will ultimately leave you feeling unfulfilled.
Recognize when you are using excuses and figure out how to overcome them. Too tired? Adjust your schedule so you can get a better night’s sleep. Not enough time? Assess your priorities and find out where you can make time. And the next time an excuse comes to you, make the decision to not give into the little voice telling you “No,” Because No won’t help you Grow.
And He said to them, Be careful what you are hearing. The measure [of thought and study]
you give [to the truth you hear] will be the measure [of virtue and knowledge] that comes
back to you—and more [besides] will be given to you who hear.” ( , AMP)

A. When you grow your faith you receive The Gift Of A Sound Mind
-God gives you the gift of a sound mind because Fear does its work against the mind. The enemy will assail you with fear filled thoughts. He will use intimidation, condemnation, and control to hammer you hard.
-Faith will keep your thoughts aligned with the promises of God.

I. A sound mind is where a fear-free life exist. ( NRSV )
1. EVERYTIME you have a thought that’s not in line with God’s word it must be destroyed & then you must force your thoughts into submission to the Word of God-That’s what’s necessary to live a life free from fear
2. Your freedom from fear is in the word EVERY
3. -If you keep your mind on God’s Word you won’t be in fear
The New Revised Standard Version Judah’s Song of Victory

3 Those of steadfast mind you keep in peace—

in peace because they trust in you.

a. Peace is the result of trust; trust is an act of faith; faith is the result of giving your mind to God’s Word and opening the gate to your spirit

Peterson, E. H. (2005). The Message: the Bible in contemporary language (). Colorado Springs, CO: NavPress.
a. With your mouth you can control your thought life
b. With your mouth you can determine what your mind feeds on and in turn what gets fed into your spirit & whether or not you walk in the anointing. Whether or not you pursue your destiny
Testimony about how with God you overcame the spirit of fear.
Fear of public speaking- Glossophobia.
Because of the fear of public speaking I ran from the call that god had on my life for years. I ran from my purpose. As a musician I could hide in the background. I could hide in the music. I could hide behind the instrument. But as a minister that involve being out front. How did I overcome it. I changed my mInd. I change my thought process. I learned to attach the word of God to my mind.

III. I must attach my mind to the Word to God ( NRSV, MSG)

8 Finally, beloved, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

The Message Chapter 4

Summing it all up, friends, I’d say you’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. Put into practice what you learned from me, what you heard and saw and realized. Do that, and God, who makes everything work together, will work you into his most excellent harmonies.

1. A life where your mind is fixed on the word must be developed by practice
a. People go through a whole day engaging in a number of activities while the whole time worrying about a problem in their lives; they gave their mind over to the words of Satan the in the middle of their activities
b. They didn’t have to try to do that; it had been practiced so much that they were able to do that with little to no effort
c. The mind has the ability to roll things over in it over and over again
1) If you’ll practice rolling the Word over in your mind over & over again, there’ll come a day when you have to think to do it
2) When you first start you’ll have to force yourself to ponder the word
2. Attaching the mind to the Word
a. If I keep the Word coming out of my mouth, my mind stays attached to it
b. If I keep the Word in front of my eyes, my mind stays attached to it
c. If I keep the Word going in my hears, my mind will stays attached to it

YOUR FAITH WILL FIGHT FOR YOU! -( Fear Fighters)
Faith knows how to win. Faith has never lost a battle. If you don’t believe that, ask Moses, who faced the Red Sea. Ask David, who ran from Saul for his life. Ask Daniel, who was thrown into the lion’s den. Your faith is a divine weapon that will defeat every attack of the enemy. It will swallow up fear and let you walk in the purposes of God.
David declared that he could run through a troop and leap over a wall through His faith in God ().
and by my God I can leap over a wall.
The Holy Bible: English Standard Version. (2016). (). Wheaton, IL: Crossway Bibles.
2 Samuel 22:30 KJV 1900
For by thee I have run through a troop: By my God have I leaped over a wall.
I have learned that for every miracle God gives me, I first have to leap over the wall of my own self-imposed limitations that scream, “You can’t do that!”
When you Can’t, God Can. When I hear you can’t, i tell myself I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me. When Failure come through, I don”t get discourage. I remind myself that “ All things work together for the good of them who love the Lord and are called to his purpose.
When I make the leap, it is just a matter of time before God enables me to run against the troop and win the victory. When you make the leap, God is going to enable you to accomplish and full fill that which was spoken over you. God will give you expertise, skill, talent, dexterity, ability, mastery, competence, capability, proficiency, aptitude, to defeat what the devil throws at you. Whether it is expansion in the ministry or a challenge with my family, starting a new business, creating a new product, starting a new relationship, your faith will fight for you!
You have to expose those thoughts you hear in your mind that say, “It’s no use. It’s hopeless. I’m to old, I’m not old enought” Bring them out into the light, and see them through the eyes of faith for what they are. They form the wall that you must leap over in faith to receive God’s miracle.
Don’t let your fears hinder you from becoming what God has called you to be. You do not have to live the life of fear. You can lay down your fears today.
It's only when we place our trust in God that we are finally able to overcome all our fears. "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go" (). Start dismantling the power that fear has had over your life.
Make Jesus Lord of your life.
