It is, at least, the recognition that ministry belongs to Christ. Ministers are Christ’s ministers—not the Church’s. Yet, even in the glorious days of the Reformation, the truth was not fully apprehended that ministers are to be controlled by, and subject to, Christ, without any human intermediary

Christ calls his people to be spiritually alive. (v. 2-3)

Commands: Those that are about to die
Wake up - Constant readiness, be on alert
Strengthen - inwardly firm or committed
Remember - be aware
Keep - persist in obedience
Repent - feel remorse, be converted
thief in the night - waring of impending judgement.
Church in America today, we must wake up.
Whats the outcome if they don’t obey His words? Jesus comes like a thief in the night. Jesus has set off the alarm.

Christ encourages his people who are spiritually alive (v. 4-6)

- will walk with Jesus (Those alive still)
Not given into the worldly things
Continue to remain faithful in Christ
