Romans 12:
Romans 12:3–8 KJV 1900
For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.

What is repeated in these verses: Grace, Think, Body, Members, given to us, let us, Prophesy, ministry, teach, exhort.

God’s call can be classified in three ways: Universal, Special, and Specific

Universal is God’s general call to everyone.

Special is when God make himself known to us.

Special is when God make himself known to us.

Specific is when God gives us a personal assignment.

Specific is when God gets us a personal assignment.

The diversities of gifts are?

1 Corinthians 12:8–10 KJV 1900
For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
1cor 12:8-10

For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

The gifts God gave us should be used faithfully and diligently to strengthen the body’s unity and help it to flourish.

What does wait mean- to stop, stay, or delay ones action until a particular time or until something else happens.

The KJV was written in 1611.

Wait meant to serve in 1611.

Numbers 3
Numbers 3:10 KJV 1900
And thou shalt appoint Aaron and his sons, and they shall wait on their priest’s office: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.

Prophecy is revelatory.

Teaching is passing on the truth of the gospel as God intended.

Why does God get personal in verse 8?

The first;two gifts are speaking gifts. The other five are action gifts.

Exhorteth is one that is an example of Holy living.

Give generously and not to be seen. Ruler is Leadership ability in the church. Saints take it seriously. Mercy is defined as not given the full punishment to an individual for wrong doing. Do it cheerfully.

Matt25:14-
Matthew 25:14–15 KJV 1900
For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.

What gift did God give you?

What type or types of call have you experience from God.

What did he tell you?

How will you be beneficial to the body of Christ?

Will you wait or don’t wait?
