What’s In the Name of Jesus
What’s In the Name of Jesus
Over this past week, as I have been praying, I find myself calling the name Jesus, each time I call HIs name, it’s like a feeling comes over me that makes me feel invincible. This past week, God has been so good to me, blessings have over taken me each time I call the name Jesus. I want to speak to you today about the name Jesus.
Most times pastors preach during Christmas or Easter about the name of Jesus, but I want you to think on that name today and everyday.
Lets call His name, Jesus, say it louder, Jesus, is there anything you need today? call the name Jesus,
can you feel a difference in your body when you call His name, Jesus, Those things you are praying for do they seem to be closer to coming to pass when you call His name, Jesus, It seems like the room is full of angels and the Holy Spirit is walking up and down the aisles to guide us to Jesus! Say the name of Jesus say the name of Jesus say the name so precious, no other name I know.
We’re going to get into the word, but I just want to spend some time calling on the name of Jesus. Sometimes we get in a hurry and don’t spend enough time just worshiping him. I want to worship Him today. He’s been good to me. He’s allowed me to do things I never thought I would do, He’s allowing me to go places I never thought I could go. Jesus , there’s power in the name of Jesus.
Turn with me in your bibles to In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Lets look at the name of Jesus from the beginning. Its says here, In the beginning was the Word. We all know that in Then God said, "Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground." In the beginning there was God, the Word who is Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. Jesus was there in the beginning. Many may say, how can that be because Jesus was a man. Yes, let me explain, turn with me to Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus: 6Who, existing in the form of God, did notconsider equality with God something to cling to, 7but emptied Himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in human likeness.…8And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to death—even death on a cross.… God loved us so much that he stripped Himself of his deity, wrapped flesh around himself, became a man, and walked this earth for 33 years to be an example for us. So when you hear people say, I don’t believe in Jesus, but I believe in God, you cant have one without the other. Jesus himself testified of this in My Father who has given them to Me is greater than all. No one can snatch them out of My Father’s hand. 30I and the Father are one.” So when we call on the name Jesus, we are calling on God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, they are all distint individuals, yet they are one. says For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, When we pray, all of heaven pays attention, we have all of heaven ready to come to our aide! All this lies in the name of Jesus! Let s call on him again Jesus!
So when we say the name of Jesus, all of heaven pays attention, all of heaven comes to our rescue!
Who can testify of the goodness of Jesus! If you have a testimony stand on your feet and share it with us.
If you don’t know Jesus, you need to get to know him. ( altar call)
