I would love to tell you just because you have been saved and are a part of the family of God that your not going to have valleys but I cant
Cancer
Loss of loved ones

Can I tell you that God is in the Valleys just a much as he is in the mountain

Story of Ahab and Elijah-[ Background

7th King of Israel
Reigned over Israel for 22 years
Married Jezebel and allowed False religion in his life and it flowed throughout all he was responsible for

God showed up in Elijahs wilderness and sustained him

1------Elijah fled to the wilderness

He was there alone

wil•der•ness \ˈwil-dər-nəs\ noun

[Middle English, from wildern wild, from Old English wilddēoren of wild beasts] 13th century

1 a (1): a tract or region uncultivated and uninhabited by human beings

(2): an area essentially undisturbed by human activity together with its naturally developed life community

b: an empty or pathless area or region 〈in remote wildernesses of space groups of nebulae are found—G. W. Gray †1960

2------ Elijah had a long Journey ahead of him to get to where he would listen to God

1 Kings 19:7 KJV 1900
And the angel of the Lord came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee.
He Was headed to Horeb- It was MT SINAI
The same place where God Manifested himself and gave the law to Moses

3------- God sustained Elisha 40 days and nights on what was provided for him- Verse 7 God sent the angel a second time

Some of us here have been on a long journey and needing to hear from God
Some of us never left Jezerell- Weve kicked our feet up, laid back in the sand and said let someone else go and now youve tures your 40 days and nights into years

4---- Not only did God Have a Journey for Elisha and Not only did God Sustain Elisha but God had a final destination in Mind for Him

Elisha finds a cave on Mt. Horeb
You cannot escape God- He knows what cave youve climbed into
Could you not depend on my protection without having to take this journey
A child of God does not belong in a cave
Nevertheless we find ourselves there from time to time
The wind , Fire , earthquake got his attention but it was a still small voice that spoke to him

How are you responding to your journey with God this morning

youve fled to the wilderness to literally die spiritually
You know that God has a journey for you
Youve seen God supply your every need
I wonder what your final destination is Gonna Be!
