Introduction to Jonah
what is your familiarity with the book of Jonah and what do you think the meaning of the book is about?
this is a very unique writing there is not one similar to it in the bible and what it reveals to us about the character of the LORD, the Israelite people and the Gentiles is done in away that is eye opening and amazing.
this book is constantly misrepresented, manly to children and in children books.
I still remember my first inpresion from someone about the book of Jonah and the whole point was that if the LORD’s will is for you to do something you will do it.
that first of all is a warp perspective of the LORD’s will.
Second of all this isn’t what I have seen in other biblical narrative such Isaac and Ishmael, Saul and David, Samuel and the sons of Eli.
