God’s 12 Step Program 9-12

Step 1 Admit that we are all sinners and are not able to go to Heaven on our own power.

Step 2 Accept and receive Jesus Christ as your personal savior and Lord. *

Step 3 Be Baptized declaring Jesus Christ as Lord before all men.

Step 4 Love God whole heartedly.

 

Step 5 Have faith in the truth of God's word and read it regularly.*

 

Step 6 Follow Christ's commandment, "Love one another;" be quick to forgive others and seek to be more Christ like at home and in community life.

 

Step 7 Become an active and faithful member of a Church, contributing of your income as the Lord directs*

 

Step 8 Be accountable to God for all of our possessions including time, talents and property, and doing our best to be a good trustee.

 

Step 9 Be cheerful, patient, calm, and trusting God to provide the means to overcome temptations. *

 

Step 10 Be humble giving God the credit and glory for all, while seeking guidance of the Holy Spirit as to God's will for us *

 

Step 11 Have a deep appreciation of what Christ did for me on the cross, readily witnessing to others and expectantly waiting for his return in person. *

 

Step 12 Doing our part, as the Lord directs, in carrying the gospel message of Christ to all peoples of the world.  *

 

 

 

Step 9 Be cheerful, patient, calm, and trusting God to provide the means to overcome temptations.   *

 

GAL 5:22-23  22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

REFER to Phil 4: 8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.

1 COR 10: 13 No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.  

*DOES GOD TEMPT US?                NO!

 

JMS 1:13-14 13 When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; 14 but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed.

 

Step 10 Be humble giving God the credit and glory for all, while seeking guidance of the Holy Spirit as to God's will for us *

MICAH 6: 8 He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

PROV 3: 5-6 5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight

JN 16:13-15 13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.14 He will bring glory to me by taking from what is mine and making it known to you. 15 All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will take from what is mine and make it known to you.

 

Step 11 Have a deep appreciation of what Christ did for me on the cross, readily witnessing to others and expectantly waiting for his return in person. *

ROM 10:9-11 NLT 9 For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. 11 As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who believes in him will not be disappointed.*”

ROM 10:13-15 NLT  13 For “Anyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”*14 But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? 15 And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent?

Now it’s the time to go, You are being sent NOW!

ACTS 1: 9-11 9 After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight. 10 They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. 11 “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.”

LK 21: 27-28  27 At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”    

Step 12 Doing our part, as the Lord directs, in carrying the gospel message of Christ to all peoples of the world.*

 

LK 24: 46-49a 46 He told them, “This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, 47 and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. 48 You are witnesses of these things. 49 I am going to send you what my Father has promised;

MT 28: 18-20 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them ina the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
