unity
why unity in the body of Christ is so important.
Philippians 2:1-
Paul gives 4 things to be reminded of:
Encouragement in Christ
Comfort in Love
Participation in the Spirit
Affection and sympathy
Then Paul labors to say we should be unified.
The purpose of unity is not just unity for the sake of unity; rather Because this models Christ!
How does this model Christ?
Verse 3:
Don’t be selfish, Have Humility
Christ being God, did not use His Godly clout to do His own thing.
He became a servant.
If Christ could become a servant, We can too!
Working Together
Let’s serve the body and each other.
We will not agree on everything (all comments and constructive criticism are welcomed). .
Take any selfish ambition out of the picture and let’s put the interests of the Kingdom first (as it has been given to our Pastor from God) and the students second.
Christ puts the plan of God the Father for Salvation of all mankind ABOVE His own suffering.
Curriculum has changed and will change again, as we move to a Sermon base Sunday school model.
This will enforce and re-enforce what Pastor Orr preaches on Sundays.
