What is Eschatology?
The part of theology concerned with death, judgment, and the final destiny of the soul and humankind.
The Study of Last Things, The End Times, The World, or The Apocalypse.
2. What is the Rapture?
A purported end time event when all Christian believers, living and dead, will rise into the sky and join Jesus Christ forever in heaven.
best defined as being transported from one place to another.
3. What is the Second Coming?
The anticipated event when Jesus Christ returns to the earth to defeat evil and establish His reign of justice and peace.
Best defined as when Jesus Christ will come back with His saints to set up His Millennium or 1000 year reign.
3. What is the Difference between the Rapture and the Second Coming?
The Rapture is when Jesus meets His Church in the clouds. (He does not set foot on the earth)
The Second Coming is when Jesus comes back to earth with His Church. (He sets foot on the Mount of Olives. The exact place where He ascension)
These are two different events separated by 7 years
The Rapture is the first event.
The Second Coming is the Second Event.
The best way to remember the two different events is,
The Rapture Jesus comes for His Saints or Church
The Second Coming Jesus comes back with His Saints or Church.
4. Where is the word Rapture found in the Bible?
The word Rapture in not found in the Bible, nor the Word Second Coming.
We get the word Rapture from the Latin word “RAPIO” which means “Caught Up”
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
1 Thessalonians 4
1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.

What is a A-Millennialists?
Is a person that believes that God’s promises regarding the End Times are figurative and will not be literally fulfilled, particularly the 1000 year reign of Jesus Christ on the earth.
A-Millennialists
Partial Rapture
Jesus will come come for part of His Saints (Church) the rest will go through the Great Tribulation.
How will Jesus Choose who gets Raptured and who stays behind.
Pre-Tribulation
Jesus will come for His saints (Church), before the Great Tribulation.
This is the view I choose to be believe, and is the Doctrinal view of Friendship Baptist Church.
Mid-Tribulation
Mid-Tribulation
Jesus will come back for His Saints (Church) halfway through the Great Tribulation. After the First 3 1/2 years.
Post-Tribulation
Jesus will come for His Saints (Church) after the Great Tribulation.
I call this the U-Turn View.
This view says, that Jesus will return to Rapture His Saints (Church) take us to heaven, and make a complete U-Turn for His Second Coming.
There is a BIG PROBLEM with this view.
There are a few events that take place in heaven after the Rapture and during the Great Tribulation on earth.
The Judgment Seat of Christ
The Marriage Supper of the Lamb.
The Post-Tribulation view has become popular with a lot of Southern Baptist Churches today.
