Tell the Vision in Story Form - IMAGINE - obedience and availability
Several weeks ago, I told you to story of Mother and 10 year old son...
Went to a long-stay hotel in Kissimmee to share the gospel with people where they met a family… tell the story
Is in awe of God - we aren’t just known for what we do
Love Another - This is part of what it means to be a witness is to one another
People will know that we are followers of Jesus because of how we love and treat one another
Sharing the Gospel from our neighborhoods to the nations.
OUTCOME | The Impact
Generations are changed - as a mother and father pass along their faith to their children, and children’s children
Care
Nations - as we share and as we go. Again reminded of the 10 year old boy and his mother sharing the gospel with a family in Kissimmee. Now there are over 200 Christians in Iran meeting in 15+ churches.
Families - husbands and wives find healing in the marriages, children have the opportunity to grow up with both parents,
Community
Singles, Young and Old, from All walks of life - together
Starting with an individual’s story - being connected to God’s story of redemption/restoration/healing/forgiveness
I want us to be a Church that
Is in awe of God - we aren’t just known for what we do
Love Another - This is part of what it means to be a witness is to one another
People will know that we are followers of Jesus because of how we love and treat one another
Sharing the Gospel from our neighborhoods to the nations.
This is the goal - Where we’ve been - where we are - and the next steps to getting there
Background
CrossPointe church launched in 2001, Under the leadership of Chan Kilgore, with a desire to point our communities to Jesus with an emphasis on local church planting
We’ve helped launch dozens of churches, including six other CrossPointe Congregations. This meant we were one legal 501(c)(3) and shared a common vision along with the shared legal liability.
At the end of 2017 we began to explore the reality of legal autonomy for each congregation while maintaining The brotherhood, support, and shared convictions. The final legal separation took affect September of this year and all seven congregations continued to be committed to one another. Lead pastors talk weekly as we preach to the same book of the Bible, we share resources and ideas, and pray for one another.
We will also continue to be part of acts 29, a diverse and global network of churches planting churches.
In February of this year are founding and lead pastor, Chan Kilgore, resigned and now serves as the director of church planting at Spanish River Church in Boca Raton Florida
Because of the collective decision made among all seven CrossPointe congregations at the end of 2017, each congregation begin to work on personalizing how we will each communicate our VISION and VALUES while remaining true to the original principles we were founded on- That Jesus is Central and all of Scripture and our only source of hope and life is in the Gospel.
OUR VISION & VALUES
Our leadership began praying through this as well and we wanted to give language and clarity for everyone’s responsibility in being disciples who follow Jesus while also making disciples as we point people to Jesus.
Working VISION Statement: The gospel calls us to be disciples who make disciples from our neighborhood to the nations.
Gospel - God moves first, In awe of God, to the praise of God
Be Disciples - we need to be transform. We need forgiveness, we need redemption (inside out)
Mission - to make disciples (local and global)
VALUES (Vital Signs)
This is why we sum up our values as a church in 3 words, GOSPEL (Loving God/Word), COMMUNITY (Loving One Another), MISSION (Living on Mission).

SEPTEMBER - DECEMBER 2018
No more than 3 Goals

Community Groups (encouraging, equipping, multiplying)
Encouraging & Demonstrating life in the day to day (church picnic, hospitality)

Equipping Disciples
If we are going to increase our ministry expressions then we need more people equipped for the work of the ministry.
3 Areas of Leadership (we are focusing on each of these this trimester to broader our foundation of leaders before building)
Partners (Body)
Definition - A partner is an adult (18+) who is in covenant relationship with CrossPointe Church and seeks to glorify God by surrendering all of life to Jesus and invites others to do the same by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Partnership Class - September 26 at 6:00
Requires rewriting our partnership material
Great material but want to press in and focus on the topic of partnership with the church universally and locally / generally and specifically.
Deacons (Care & Leadership)
Definition - Is a man or woman who is an active partner at CrossPointe Church and serves as a leader in various capacities to assist the elders with the ministry and care of the church.

Elders (Shepherding & Oversight)
