What Adversity May Reveal to Us.

Am I suppose to learn something about myself from adversity?

How can I gain from suffering?

Self -examination is not limited to areas of sinfulness or pride: it may involve areas of strength that we need to pursue.

some areas worthy of examination are:

~Our View of God

~The Place of material possessions in our lives

~Our Strengths and Weaknesses

~Unwillingness to forgive others

~Our faith in God

Adversity Can Reveal Our View of God.

When adversity hits, what is your first impression of God?

When adversity hits, what is your first impression of God?unmercifully and requiring unreasonable behavior?

Do you regard Him as a benevolent Father who is permitting you to be chastened in a way that will result in your growth and perfections.

As a father has compassion on his children , so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him; He remembers that we are from the Dust.

we are from the Dust.

How do you respond to the idea that God is your father? What does it mean to “Fear “ Him

( The Lord knows the limitations of the human perspective ( DUST is not eternal or all knowing)He is patient with his people.
