153 Fish
153 Fish
:11 153 Fish Jerome claimed there were 153 species of fish, thus the catch became a symbol of a fruitful mission as fishers of men.
The Chain Broken
The Chain Broken
The Chain of events that erode your relationship with God (take you away):
Ambushed by life (Assaulted)-- Things happen and you ask "why?"
Anger and Fear (Anxiousness)-- Causes disengagement
Aloneness-- depression, loneliness, fuels the the next stage/link
Alienated-- Resenting feeling alone, you come across arrogant, aloof which feeds/fuels the aloneness
Adulteries of heart-- filling the empty space with worldly things; workaholic, food, gambling, porn, drugs, alcohol, ( to a lesser extent--fishing, golf, exercise, politics)
Addiction-- Dependency on those things, harder to kick because of the next link
Accuser-- he whispers lies "You are done" "No way back"
God's love will turn it around. All things are possible with God
27 And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible. Mk 10:27
What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.
God's instruction for worship and for living also look at Proverbs 8:7-10
And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.
39 Through him everyone who believes is set free from every sin, a justification you were not able to obtain under the law of Moses.
The New International Version. (2011). (Ac 13:39). Grand Rapids, MI: Zondervan.
Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus
The New International Version. (2011). (). Grand Rapids, MI: Zondervan.
Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
9 Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him! 10 For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!
The New International Version. (2011). (Ro 5:9–10). Grand Rapids, MI: Zondervan.
For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
4 But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, 5 he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, 6 whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.
The New International Version. (2011). (Tt 3:3–7). Grand Rapids, MI: Zondervan.
