What changed?

When you became a Christian, what was different? Don't tell me about "going to heaven". Don't tell me about the future. Let's talk about the now and how now is different because of...then…the then which happened when you trusted and obeyed Jesus.

Do you rob the Master by not laboring intently, when Jesus has worked so powerfully to save you?
Are you someone who builds and unifies the body Christ…or do you question, criticize and collapse it?
Explore: Paul has already made it clear in this epistle that we are saved by the Grace of God in Jesus.

We are incorporated in the body of Christ-His Church-sharing the one faith and one baptism that expresses His Lordship. It is clear that all of this is done by God. Once Again Paul reinforces that there are behavioral expectations. There are marks of Jesus impact on our life. We should be different than we were before and should be on our way to becoming more and more like Jesus every day.
Therefore…he says,
Ephesians 4:25–32 ESV
25 Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another. 26 Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, 27 and give no opportunity to the devil. 28 Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him labor, doing honest work with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with anyone in need. 29 Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. 32 Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
Excite: The Joy of our mutual life in Christ is sharing that process of growth with one another. I show you, you show me, we all show one another what God is doing in our lives as we follow Jesus and are led by the Holy Spirit.
