When the Angels Came
Many things about the angels
From us are now concealed.
But some things about those Sons of God
His Word has clearly revealed.
The night our precious Lord was born
The angels told His birth.
A host of Heavenly messengers sang,
God’s peace to men on earth.
The day our blessed Lord arose
The angels said, “He lives!”
Because He rules and reigns above
Our sins He now forgives.
When Lazarus died in the long ago,
He gained the precious prize.
The angels came, and gentle bore
His soul to Paradise.
The angels serve God’s children now,
Heavenly helpers for our lives.
At death they quietly take us home,
To mansions in the skies. -In Memory of Mildred Spears, Nashville, Tennessee
