Prodigal Son Testimony

The Prodigal Son story is my story and the same events that took place in his life also took place in my life and I am one for certain that is so thankful for the Father who was always watching and waiting for my return.

The Father of the prodigal son must have been confident that he had raised him to know right and understood that he could not make him obey God but he would have to choose for himself to obey God.

My mother did that for me and my siblings. I have an older brother just like the prodigal son but I. also have a younger sister. She made sure that we heard the truth even if we did not want to hear it. She taught us about God, creation and the fall of man. We were drug babies early on. She drug us to church every time the doors were open.

However, at some point we have to choose it for ourselves and just like the prodigal Son I choose poorly at first.

So lets look at the story and through it I will share mine.

Self-centeredness and Self-indulgence

No respect for my mom or anybody of authority, I wanted it my way. I was self centered which also lead to self indulgence. Sex, Drugs and rock and roll.

I loved AC/DC and sung hells bells as much and as loud as I could and not truly understanding that I was on a literal highway to hell.

Led to Separation and Sorrow

Luke 15:18-24
