HOW TO KEEP FROM SINKING

I.          Peter's Event Is Found In Matthew 14:22-33

..."So Peter went over the side of the boat and walked on the water toward Jesus.  But when he looked around at the high waves, he was terrified and began to sin.  "Save me, Lord!" he shouted... 29-30

There's one way to keep from sinking.  It's to keep your ___________ on Jesus.

There's one way to keep from sinking.  It's to keep your EYES on Jesus.

II.        How We Can Use Our Eyes

1.         VIEW your faith as a series of baby STEP.

"And I am sure that God who began the good work within you will keep right on helping you grow in his grace until his task within you is finally finished on that day when Jesus Christ returns."  Philippians 1:6

2.         CLEAR away the DISTRACTIONS.

"For I can do everything God asks me to with the help of Christ who gives me the strength and power.' 

    Philippians 4:13

3.         FOCUS on PRAYER.
