John Sees the Approaching Storm of God’s Final Wrath.
This is the final evacuation warning.
Those prepared are those who have heeded the warning of God’s finished wrath.
As Hurricane Florence approached, I wondered what it was like before our advanced weather technology.
Can you image a storm brewing, a storm strengthening, a storm arriving, and you not know you are in its path?
Have you ever considered what is would be like for hurricane to be headed straight for your home and you have no warning?
It would be catastrophic, a scene of chaos, a deadly and destructive disaster, and most of all it would be a surprisingly terrible tragedy.
Do you know what is worst?
The coming wrath of God against sin and suffering.
God has warned the world, and over and over there are people who will not heed God’s warning.
How about you this morning?
Have you heeded God warning to repent and get out of the path of his wrath?
If you knew a deadly hurricane was approaching, would you tell you family and friends to get out of its path?
God’s judgment is coming with his finished wrath against sin.
Will you warn your family and friends to prepare and get out of its path?
John 15 is a final evacuation warning, get make preparations to be out of the path of God’s wrath.
John saw a great and wonderful sign in heaven.
He saw 7 angels preparing to pour out the final warning of the approaching storm of GOd’s final wrath.
The reason this vision is so great and wonderful is because God’s wrath will abolish sin, and the suffering sin cause the saints of God.
We should heed God’s warning and warn others.
Justice is coming!
God’s justice can be catastrophic or it can be a time of celebration.
As the Storm of God’s Justice Approaches, The Saints of God can Celebrate.
John saw something else in the approaching storm.
He saw Saints standing fearlessly by the sea.
They were fearless, because victorious over the schemes of satan.
They were no longer being duped by the devil.
John gives us 3 victories we have in Christ Jesus.
Freedom from Political pressures.
Freedom from religious pressures.
Freedom from Economic pressures.
These pressures are Satan’s ploy to prevent us from heeding God’s warning of coming judgment.
When we are standing on the clear sea of God’s sovereignty, we do not have to fear His wrath.
Instead we can rest in the finished work of Jesus on the cross.
As God Unveils His Path of Wrath and the the Saints are Singing, 7 Angels Come out of the Temple and Wash Clean the Stairway to Heaven.
God is transcendent separate from sin.
He cannot allow sin in his presence.
Therefore, the new heaven and earth will not allow any sin to come in.
