Intro
This week we looked at the Babylon Mentality, which is a mindset or a way to see the world.
It’s a confused way thinking that stands up to God in pride.
The confusion comes from believing the lie that Satan is on our side and God is all about himself.
This can cause us to lower our view of God and elevate ourselves.
We begin to believe that God doesn’t love us and wants too much from us.
Then we begin living a self-focused lifestyle.
In , King Nebuchadnezzar began to praise and elevate himself.
As a result of his pride, he was driven away to live like an animal for 7 years.
After 7 years, Nebuchadnezzar submitted himself to teh Lord and began to worship and praise him.
His sanity and his kingdom were restored and he was more famous and powerful than before.
We begin to believe that God doesn’t love us and wants too much from us.
Then we begin lving a self-focused lifestyle.
When we choose to follow our own way, confusion and chaos will creep in and we will slip away from God.
Then we will pay the price.
Just like he did with Nebuchadnezzar, God leaves a path back to restoration open.
As we live in a culture that continues to shift more and more, we need to cling to God’s word and seek His presence daily so that we can have the power and presence to stand fir, and love well.
Discussion
We either set the culture or reflect it.
Discuss a time when you have eother influenced the culture around you or been influenced by it.

Humility is a term that is often misunderstood.
Humility is not thinking less of yourself, but thinking of yourself less.
Using this definition, how have you shown humility in your life?
Would you say humility comes easily to you, or is this an area where you would benefit from growth?
Think about the accomplishments in your life.
Discuss ways God has provided for your success.
Prayer focus
Humble yourself before God and acknowledge that everything you have is from him.
Ask him to teach you to live humbly and grow in wisdom and discernment.
Ask for grace to stand firm in your convictions in a way that glorifies the Lord.
