I Am Praying for You

   
     9 For this reason we also,

           since the day we heard it,

do not cease to pray for you,

          and to ask

               that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will

                      in all wisdom

                     and spiritual understanding;

             10 that you may walk worthy of the Lord,

                     fully pleasing Him,

                           being fruitful in every good work

                        and increasing in the knowledge of God;

11 strengthened with all might,

          according to His glorious power,

          for all patience and longsuffering

                with joy;

M.O.I. – Brotherly prayers

C.I.T. – Paul expressed to the Colossians the things he was praying for them.

Thesis – As Christians we must pray for other Christians, following the example of Paul.

Proposition – I want the church to pray for other Christians following the example of Paul with the Colossians.

Probing Question – What does this passage teach us about how to pray for other Christians?

Unifying Word – Desires

Transitional Sentence – Knowing how to pray for others can be a daunting task.  Paul gives us a perfect example of how to do so.

I.  Our prayers should include the spiritual growth of other Christians.  Vs 9

II.  Our prayers should include the spiritual walk of other Christians.  Vs 10

III.  Our prayers should include the spiritual strength of other Christians.  Vs. 11
